We stopped for a 2 night stay both mornings the breakfast was fab. The owner was really cheerful and pleasant.( Wouldn't expect anything other from Yorkshire folk). If we ever come back to Selby we will definitely stay here.

A laminated sheet had all information with a mobile number to ring if I needed anything else, like extra coffee etc. The room was perfect for what I wanted and I have already booked again.

The bed was so comfy and we slept well ..we met the owner who was so bubbly. This is the first time in selby and we will be booking again for a whole wkend

Susan & Donna offer a true Yorkshire welcome in Selby’s most established guest house. The Hazeldene is a detached period property dating back to 1890, ideally located in the Historic market town of Selby within easy reach of York, Leeds and Doncaster as well as The Yorkshire Dales, The North York Moors, East Coast and the Trans Pennine Trail. All our rooms have private bathrooms, tv and courtesy drinks & toiletries. Breakfast is also included within the price, with a verity of options available. Our guest house has a licensed lounge and restaurant, private car parking and cycle storage facilities
We are mother and daughter who pride ourselves with offering clean, comfortable and well serviced accommodation
Selby is an historic Market Town which continues its tradition of Monday Markets throughout the year the largest markets being held on Bank Holiday Mondays, there are also additional Farmers Markets, Craft Markets and Food & Drink fairs held throughout the the Town Centre at various times all year round. We are just a five minute stroll to Selby Town Centre which is home to the magnificent Selby Abbey, steeped in history and with its amazing architecture is a must see while in the area. Selby Town Hall is also just a short walk away which brings in artists of all kinds from around the world. For cyclists and walkers the Trans Pennine Trail passes through Selby and after the Tour de Yorkshire coverage is now becoming a magnet for cyclists and walkers from around the world. Selby is now home to a state of the art fitness and leisure centre, with many activities and facilities to cater for all ages. We are also well served by public transport with regular buses and trains to York & Leeds
