Hedingham Old Pottery Bed and Breakfast is situated at the edge of Castle Hedingham a couple of minutes walk to the historic Norman Castle. The house is a large brick build house set back from the road with a delightful garden at the rear. The accommodation consists of one twin/double en suite room, one double room with family bathroom, there is also a smaller twin room which can be used for group bookings
Hedingham Castle. While Hedingham Castle remains a family home, the Norman Keep and grounds are open to the public from Easter to October. Today the castle is a venue for a range of events, including jousting, archery, falconry, re-enactment battles, fairs, classic & vintage car shows, music concerts and theatre productions Also nearby is Colne Valley Railway with a vintage steam/diesel train with rides on a Victorian line. The market town of Sudbury is approximately 6 miles away and here you will find Gainsborough's house with a museum and art gallery. 3 miles further is Long Melford which boasts the longest village tree lined street in the country; Melford Hall (a beautiful National Trust property); Kentwell Hall (an Elizabethan Manor House which has reinactment tudor shows at certain times of the year) and Long Melford Church a must if interested in architecture and stained glass. Nearby Lavenham is one of Suffolk's old wool towns. Medieval timber framed buildings line the streets
