Dunvegan Castle and Garden is a must-visit. Very little traffic and easy to get around. Distances are deceiving because of the narrow windy roads - passing places are an experience!
We had a great lunch at The Three Chimneys just outside Duvegan

Surprisingly little there, used as a base for 3 nights, should really have done for 2. Dunvegan Castle nearby and worth a visit. Limited places to eat. Had to drive to get to anywhere including start of walks.

Wonderful little town with so many gems if you take the time to explore! Check out the Angus McCaskill museum for some quirky entertainment; the School House for a wonderful, hearty meal; Dunvegan Castle for a fantastic history lesson and some great walking paths; Two Churches walk up to the standing stone; and Misty's for a quick bite and some ice cream. Easy-to-walk town with friendly people.

Dunvegan is in a beautiful area of Skye and centrally located with easy access to the Cullins, and Portree. The weather was rainy most of the visit but we still managed to have a wonderful time and see the sights.

Dunvegan is in the North of the island, perfect for visiting Dunvegan castle, the coral beaches, Neist Point light house, carbost and the talisker distillery. Plenty of walks in and around the area. One negative is the state of the roads....beware! Potholes are everywhere

Dunvegan suffering a wee bit like many places from lack of staff making some hotels ,restaurants having to reduce opening hours but dont let that put you off as always somewhere open . It will get better as more tourists arrive ,our trip was very much at the end of a very strange summer season .We have stayed in the area many times and will most certainly return before too long .
Everything! The cottage is situated a 10-15 minute walk from centre of Dunvegan. Its spacious, with comfy beds and settee. Great tv and loved the wood burning stove. The view of McLeods table mountains from the front living room is spectacular. The kitchen is great plus the owner left some lovely brownies and biscuits, lovely touch after our long drive to Skye. Plenty of handwash and bathroom towels, and loo paper, the owner has thought of everything to enable us to have a super holiday. If only he could have made the weather better too alas!
Warm and friendly welcome from Elizabeth and Roger.Very accomodating as using public transport, checked in early - very much appreciated with my heavy rucksack.Very comfortable bed, fresh good quality linen. Had the best night's sleep in whole of weeks holiday around Skye! So quiet, all you can hear are the birds. Excellent meal at The School House up the road (book early in advance)Help yourself to tea and coffee. Sat outside in the sunshine for a while, very relaxing. Crumpets at breakfast! Dunvegan taxis well recommended too👍
This was our favorite accommodation of our entire stay in Scotland. Our host was very warm and accommodating, and the attic rooms were spacious and comfortable. Also, the breakfasts were some of the best we had. Just a few words of advice for Skye: Try to book your dinners in advance, as there aren't many restaurant options in the area and many close on Sundays/Mondays. Also, make sure you have plenty of gas before you drive to that side of the island, as the local gas station sometimes runs out.
John was an amazingly kind host, communicating timely ahead of our arrival with highly useful and valuable information. We were thankful for the provided basic supplies, like milk, coffee, orange juice.
The cabins are superbly equipped, lovely and very clean. Harlosh is the perfect spot to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, with quiet, fresh air and stunning views on the bay and its wildlife (seals, birds, etc.). Great starting point to explore the Isle of Skye.
The most beautiful little place with a beautiful view. In the chilly conditions of Skye it was lovely to come home to the warmth and cosiness of the accommodation. It was lovely on arrival to be met with fresh bred and treats and a nip of whiskey.. Not to mention having coffee with the amazing sunrise. The WiFi is good and shower pressure amazing. Everything is here and more on what you would expect. I loved having coffee with the greeting of the neighbours dog each morning.
I was so impressed with the hosts at this guesthouse. Their attention to every detail of the room and menu was fantastic. They have really gone above and beyond on local/sustainable/vegetarian concepts and everything was done with such caring. It is the best hotel/guesthouse we stayed at in our one month journey. The bed was actually a king size, and the room spacious, which we found hard to come by in our journey.
Amazing breakfast! Freshly made to order with an amazing view. Incredibly clean and thought through place, including high quality toiletries and bedding. The bed was like a heavenly cloud and the bathroom was spacious and very well decorated. Absolutely adorable dog too :) Not far from Dunvegan Castle, which was really nice! Our hosts were incredibly nice and gave recommendations for sightseeing.
Angie is simply the loveliest hostess ever! She helped us find our way around Dunvegan, made sure we had everything we needed in our room, and also booked our dinner at a nearby, very popular restaurant. The setting in this place is stunning and also serene. I felt like we were at the end of the Earth and were also sheltered and comfortable.
I really enjoyed my stay at Atholl House Skye. The staff was truly lovely. The room was pretty great, the bed comfortable and everything looked well maintained. I had two large windows in my room, which I appreciated. There is a nice dining room and also a lounge where you can take a drink and relax. The food is great.
This was a really fun home in which to stay. The home was decorated in a lovely way. It was clean, open, and had a ton of windows and light. The kitchen was fully equipped. The common areas were spacious. Bathrooms updated and well appointed. We would stay again if ever back in Skye.
This was our favorite place we stayed in Scotland. The cabins are really beautifully done and have a lovely view. They were a bit away from the rest of the crowds and we loved having that little break and our own quiet spot. We would absolutely book these again if we were back on Skye.
The pods are nicely situated in a forested back yard close to the Dunvegan village. We stayed several nights traveled the whole of the isle of skye. I don't recommend more than 3 to a cabin really although you could fit 4.
Everything was top notch. The staff is attentive and friendly. The rooms were clean and had coffee, tea, and biscuits available. The breakfast was superb.
We had dinner at the hotel one evening and it was amazing.
MENU FOR BREAKFAST CHOICE WAS OUTSTANDING AS WAS THE QUALITY OF FOOD AND COOKING.
The location and view at the end of the Loch was superb.
The hosts were welcoming and extremely helpful.
It was very quite and cozy stay!
Our host welcomed us with a gorgeous dog Roger.
Amazingly clean and pretty house in very safe area. I would recommend to anyone who goes to skye :)
