The room was really nice, good size, comfortable bed, very clean. Bathroom was also super clean and nice, good water pressure, there was absolutely nothing to fault about the room. The receptionist and waiter in one, Alex, was friendly, efficient and helpful. Dinner was very tasty. The breakfast server lady was also very friendly and good.

High Tor Hotel is a boutique hotel located in the picturesque Spa Town of Matlock Bath, conveniently situated within walking distance between both Matlock and Matlock Bath about 7 minutes walk to both towns. Inside our boutique hotel we have our restaurant Artist's Corner. The hotel has been fully restored to its 19th Century glory in accordance with its Grade II listed status and furnished to a high standard throughout with solid ash doors to all rooms. High Tor Hotel is a modern hotel offering guests luxury, comfort and style. The High Tor Hotel has been fully restored to its former 19th Century glory when it is believed to have belonged to Admiral Nelson-General Collingwood. All fourteen bedrooms boast the finest of furnishings and the hotel also includes a bar, restaurant and a separate breakfast room. Our restaurant menu can be seen on the restaurant page.
