Wonderful Room Friendly Hosts Located in the heart of Whitby ❤️

Everything! Beautiful house and large light room overlooking luxuriant front garden. The hosts were so welcoming and attentive. Breakfast on the garden terrace, continental style with fruit & bacon brioche thrown in, so plenty yet healthy. The town centre is litterally on the doorstep, yet so quiet and peaceful. We've stayed in many many B&B's in the UK; this ranks as one of the very best.

This was our second time staying with Polly and Andy at Highgate House and it was just as fabulous as the first! The house itself is beautiful inside and out. We received a very warm welcome and were shown to our beautiful room which was perfect and extremely clean. The location is absolutely perfect and we got parked on the next street using one of the parking scratchcards from Polly, which meant we could park free of charge during our stay which is great. I cannot recommend Highgate House enough and we will be sure to stay here again next time we are in Whitby!

    There is no shuttle but its only a five minute walk to the beach from the house.

Now named Highgate House this beautiful Georgian town house was, for many years the Rectory of Whitby, then under private ownership has now been converted into 'high end' accommodation.

Polly & Andy Brown moved to Whitby in March 2015 after purchasing the 250 year old Highgate House a beautiful Georgian town house originally built for a sea captain and now converted to high end Georgian Rooms

Whitby is a beautiful harbour town which has retained most of its ancient charm. Now with a vibrant night life as well as lovely beach walks its the destination for getting away from it all mini breaks.
