Clean room
Quiet
Dislikes
No stepfree access - was hard pushing the pram around, I had to carry my 3month old baby up and down the stairs with the buggy as I was on the first floor.
No food offered and shops not close to the hotel
Old building and window fittings very old

Purfleet on Thames is of necessity somewhat industrial - its has a fuel terminal on the River and industrial estates nearby. However, it has reinvented itself and has a a good rail connection - the Lakeside shopping Centre is nearby and their are no shortage of places to eat. So not Broadway Market but a very accessibly stop with the Dartford crossing and the M25 right there!
We ate at TGI Friday and it was magic. Breakfast at the Rosina Cafe was a delight too. We dined at the Premier Inn on the first night and it was grand - everyone had great staff

Purfleet is trying to go upmarket: but it has little or no facilities. No good pubs; no big shop or supermarket; no views, other than a quite sludgy Thames, with VERY noisy shipping in the river channel

Great location for access to London and to Lakeside shopping centre. Lovely walks along the Thames with a great cycle path alongside the RSPB nature reserve. Small heritage museum run by volunteers. Whilst largely situated close to an industrial estate and Purfleet itself is not necessarily a place to visit for a getaway; its location is convenient for budget travellers to stay for commutes to London and the RSPB reserve is a fantastic place to support whilst there.

Used as a convenient overnight stay as I wanted to avoid going through the Dartford Tunnel early in the day as I needed to travel on to Brentwood the next morning. Being on the Essex side of the tunnel worked perfectly allowing me to complete my journey without undue stress.

As a driver the roads were in excellent condition but everything seemed so far away. It was like an adventure just to go to the nearest supermarket
but if you like driving as I do it's not that bad. Public transport is not the best for me but fortunately the rail service is only about 5min away from the hotel, but I'm a car driver.
Room was ok would have expected more for price we paid it was very run down. Comfortable bed, and lovely view. Helpful, friendly and well mannered stuff.
Cottage stay was nice quite better than main building. However, rooms in main hotel are much better, we have stayed twice now as there rooms are often reasonably priced and the surroundings are lovely. We did enjoy our stay.
Did not like the location, did not feel safe inside nor outside of the hotel. I chose that one because one it had a double bed, and was more than the other choices you put forward but now wonder now if the cheapest on would have been better. Another point no mattress cover , no pillow protectors not good!
The hotel was at best; basic. The rooms where sparse, but there was tea and coffee making facility in the room. There was a 40" TV in the room which was excellent compared to the usual 19" portable normally provided in budget hotels.
The bar was excellently stocked and VERY reasonably priced.
Quiet area right next to the Thames booked a river view thought I might see some ships .didn't see a single one . Not the hotels fault lol nice hotel would stay there again . There isn't much to do near the hotel train station about a 5 minute walk not far from the Dartford crossing
Initially I was worried about booking a location outside of Central London, but I didn't really have a choice given my last minute trip but it was surprisingly easy to travel between the hotel and Central London given its prime location near a train station.
You get what you pay for, was very cheap. Check in was extremely difficult (the receptionist emails a form for you to fill in on your phone!!) tap water not safe to drink. bar staff disinterested and rude. Room felt dirty.
Location was as expected. There was a shop and two children's parks near by. The river was very close and easily accessible to walk alongside. The signage for the hotel was clear. Easy to follow sat nav.
Rooms are in very bad state, shouldn’t even been classed as hotel,no hand soap.old dirty furniture broken toilet, smelly room,I wouldn’t even pay penni for the room itself but I had no chance to cancel
We liked the position of the hotel , staff were helpful and friendly. The view from the patio of the river was nice. The room was large and also had a view of the river. Parking was great .
Lovely view of The Thames, staff friendly and helpful.
Managed to park okay in the car park, had quite a few spaces compared to some hotels I have stayed at before.
