We love Llangollen. It's such a pretty place in the middle of mountains and a fast flowing river. The historical buildings make it so interesting - medieval, Georgian, Victorian - no two buildings look the same. There are plenty of interesting shops, pubs and places to eat. The canal is so pretty too, and very peaceful. You can sit and enjoy a beer or go for a long walk to the falls and see the source of the canal. Highly recommended.

At this time of year, (November), the town looks sad and run down. Only three pubs in the town centre and really only one worth going to.
I have spent many weekends through my life in Llangollen.
It is looking a bit tired and needs a lift.
It won't stop me going again though. The walk up Castell Dinas Bran made it worthwhile in itself!

For Wales it was quite a busy town with a number of shops and interesting places to eat. The scenery around the town was great and the magnificent horseshoe pass is only a short drive away.
The Corn Hill restaurant is highly recommended.
Location is great, in the centre of Llangollen, perfect for all amenities and places to eat. The hotel is above a cafe, where breakfast is taken. The owners also run a business in outdoor sports. The whole atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. Breakfast is beautifully cooked and with some more unusual choices than the average B & B. The room are clean and nicely, simply furnished - lots of wood! Fresh ground coffee on the tea tray every day was a much appreciated touch.
It was a well looked after apartment, clean and well decorated. It was warm when we came in of an evening, also you could lower or higher heating to what you wanted.
We liked the time spent thinking about how the space was used.
It was central to shops, transport, activities, eateries and more. There were lovely walks close to Llangollen centre or further afield.
Ourselves never met the hosts but the things wrote in the visitors book were good 👍.
Such a well presented cottage with some lovely finishing touches that really made it feel both welcoming but with a little touch of luxury and dog friendly! Perfect location for exploring all that Llangollen and the beautiful surrounding countryside has to offer with great canal walks on the doorstep. Despite being a stones throw from the town it was very quiet at night. The use of the parking permit is a really nice addition.
Location was lovely. Short walk to horseshoe falls and Llangollen and the hotel looks over the river Dee. The staff were friendly. We had breakfast and evening meal and the food was delicious. Such a pretty place to stay. However the bathroom wasn't very clean and shower curtain needed washing and tiles wanted scrubbing but such a beautiful location we let it go.
The location is ideal for a night out around Llangollen, the staff are very friendly and prices cheaper than some of the nearby pubs. The jewel in the crown is the amazing cooked Welsh Breakfast, the quality of the produce just jumps of the plate and it is cooked fresh to order and was the best breakfast I have ever had while staying over in many hotels in the UK.
2nd time we’ve visited Llangollen and both times we stayed here. Location is great. Facilities are great. Price is even better. Wi-Fi worked well enough to work remotely and there is a shed for those bike touring like us. Jamie you left such a positive impression, thank you for a great stay!
Excellent location, Excellent Hotel, Excellent owners who made our Honeymoon so special. From a bottle of bubbly in our rooms to taking us out in their tuk tuk around Llangollen. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners who completely treat us like Royalty
The Gales have a wine bar, which is very nice. The wine bar was very well staffed and the service was great. It was the cheapest bar in Llangollen we found.
We were glad of the parking at the hotel as parking is very hard in a place like Llangollen.
The hand hotel was in a great position for what Llangollen had to offer, the breakfast was very good with plenty to offer and the staff were very friendly particularly Denise who made us feel very welcome, I would definitely recommend this hotel
Room was comfortable and warm ,bed comfortable , breakfast staff friendly and helpful ,ideally located for Llangollen and visiting the food festival , breakfast was all freshly cooked which makes a change from some hotels , car park was a bonus
Cambrian House was an excellent value. For a budget hotel, it was was very comfortable and homey, clean and cute. And great shower pressure! Even better, Cath was very welcoming and cheery delight--I think she makes the place!
Amazing hotel, junior suite was fantastic, great balcony, what a view, evening meal was delicious and breakfast was excellent, staff so friendly and helpful, one of the best places we have stayed in and cant wait to come back
The location was great, it was a five minute walk to the center of Llangollen. Beautiful room and house, bed very comfy and Mayuri added extra treats. Wouldn't stay anywhere else if visiting again. Absolutley Fabulous.
We had an enjoyable stay. Just a short walk to Llangollen. Our rooms had everything we needed for our 2 night stay, breakfast was nice and plentiful, ample free parking and dog friendly too.
Lovely location by the river, nice area to sit out and people watch, and enjoy the river side views.
Basic , clean accomadaton, convenient for everything Llangollen has to offer.
Lovely host
Stayed overnight for canal trip on Llangollen aqueduct. Location was great as only a few minutes walk away. Rooms were large and comfortable and the buffet breakfast was lovely.
The room was spacious with comfy beds, staff were super friendly and helpful and the hotel itself is beautiful in a lovely location. Very dog friendly too!
