We have relatives nearby which we were visiting hence our stay. Launceston is good in parts, not many pubs served food bit it was awash wit takeaways. Not suitable for anyone with limited mobility as the town has steep hills. Tesco etc has killed all the small independents which used to be in the town

Good pubs, Red Lion in Trewint a must. Lovely town centre in Bude, can drive to Davidstowe and Boscastle, amongst other places. Heaps to do, stunning countryside for walks, definitely chocolate box. Breathtaking coastline. It's wonderful to have both countryside and coastline on offer 😁

Typical Cornish town, recommend Francine’s fish and chips for fast efficient service with a smile.
The roads are narrow and it can get congested in a car but if you’re on holiday patience is key, enjoy

We were a 20 minute drive from Launceston in beautiful countryside. We used Launceston for self catering shopping. There is a castle, church and narrow gauge steam railway,
Launceston is well placed. For the A30 for day trips to the many wonderful attractions along the coast.

Launceston, is a lovely town, with great views and lots of things to do. It has a lot of history to it and needs a few days to explore.
There are also lots of places to stop in for a cup of coffee and something to eat

A very run down little town , but beautiful surrounding areas such as crackington , Bude & Padstow definitely all worth a visit .Fantastic pub & resturant /cafe in Crackington right on the beach front excellent food & service .
I loved everything about this property. It has everything you’ll need for your stay, fully equipped kitchen if you plan on cooking. There is a small shop in the village of Polyphant but it you’re staying for a time you’d probably want to go to Tesco’s in Launceston. We had relatives near by so didn’t require a car, but if you’re traveling to the Shippon you’d probably want one. The Cornish countryside is exquisite and the views from our room didn’t disappoint.
The Trethorne hotel was lovely, extremely comfortable, well equipped and easy to access.
The bunk beds in the family room were very well placed , sturdy and comfortable.
A great overnight stay driving from Bristol and Surrey en-route to the south of Cornwall.
Helpful staff, and a generous evening meal.
We didn’t stay for breakfast but the options looked good.
Would highly recommend.
Thank you
The lodges were clean, tidy and enjoyable to stay. Best part of the holiday was the Hotub, it was maintained really well. The lodges are located in a secluded area, with a working farm nearby, where dogs come to see you and are really friendly. The lodges are surrounded by wildlife and its really calming. If you enjoy driving to different places it's great to see what Cornwall has to offer.
The cottage was immaculate, well equipped with gorgeous views and a pond complete with carp. A very informative welcome pack was much appreciated. The owner was helpful and friendly. This was an ideal location for exploring all the delights Cornwall has to offer. A cream tea waiting on arrival was a lovely touch. Will definitely visit again
West Moor View was an excellent choice when looking for somewhere reasonably central to the attractions on offer in Cornwall. This self-contained annex has everything you need for a short stay and the hosts (who live on site) are extremely responsive and helpful. The location is beautiful and quiet with views over the fields.
Loved the location and was very well set up by the owners from a private caravan site for only about 7 to tastefully decorated rooms in the house, which were very comfortable and a decent size. We were made very welcome and the breakfast choice was superb. Would definitely return again.
Sycamore Farm was ideally located in North Cornwall for us to visit our daughter living nearby.
The room was comfortable and the en suite bathroom ideal.
The breakfasts were very good and set us up for the day. The sweets in the room were an unexpected delight.
The hotel looks very posh from the outdside, but it is, in fact, very friendly and comfortable, and the staff are wonderful. Fantastic view from the window of our room (#3). Good breakfasts, dinner more like a good, traditional pub.
The hosts were so friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious! The location was very convenient to get to various parts of Cornwall and the property was set in the peaceful and beautiful countryside.
Friendliness, and good for local points of interest.
The owners know the area so well and were so happy to help.
A very quiet location, yet less than 15 mins from launceston and 20 mins from crackington
Traveller's Rest is an excellent place in the beautiful Bodmin Moor. Andy was a wonderful and kind host and I really enjoyed my stay. The area is superb for cycling and walking. A perfect holiday.
My hosts could not have been more friendly and helpful.
Everything was spotlessly clean .
Lovely county location ,but only 10 minutes from Launceston.
This was my second stay , I will be back
Very quiet, very clean had everything we wanted
The hot tub was amazing.
Very good location to explore parts of Cornwall.
Couldn't ask for a nicer place.
Highly recommended
The owner is a lovely lady who was very pleasant and helpful. Plenty of parking space, rural and quiet, and the accommodation was clean and tidy. The cost was reasonable.
