The young lady on reception gave us a very warm welcome and was exceptional at her job. She was polite, friendly and explained everything well. She is an asset to the hotel. The hotel was very clean, staff helpful, room was basic but very nice. The breakfast was plentiful and had everything you could think of. The room where we had breakfast was lovely. The swimming pool was a great size, nice temperature and not too busy. The staff at the pool area were very friendly and helpful.

The grand Victorian building has large rooms, two restaurants, fitness centre with an indoor pool. The DoubleTree by Hilton Brighton Metropole mixes original character with modern comforts. The en-suite rooms have a flat-screen TV, a hairdryer and ironing facilities. Some rooms also enjoy panoramic sea views. The DoubleTree by Hilton Brighton Metropole offers a gym, indoor pool, sauna and steam room. 1890 At The Met restaurant, a grand setting for breakfast, has original Victorian ceilings, chandeliers and sea views. The Metropole Bar & Terrace offers booth seating, a snug, bespoke cocktails, seafood platters and cream teas.
