Trowbridge is a lovely town in the middle of green pastures. It makes a good base to explore Bath, Bradford on Avon and Bristol with good train connections. It is quite flat and easy walking. St James is a lovely old church in the centre which rings its bells with pride.

We went to Trowbridge to visit friends. It has plenty of pubs and restaurants to eat in and a cinema. It is in easy travelling distance of Bath. Buses go into Bath and trains to both Bath and Bristol.

We went to Trowbridge as we used to live there and I was visiting friends. There are plenty of places to eat and there is a cinema. It is in easy reach of Bath but accommodation is cheaper. The hotel is often unmanned so nobody may be there to check you in when you arrive. Before travelling, check that the pool and sauna and health suite are operational and not switched off to save money.

I've requested a confirmation email re the list I left re hotel. Left this Mon reviewed today. Additional cost per dog per day. We had already decided to him him at home with family. Room 14 very small double you had to bum shuffle to get into bed. The curtains were 72inch drop on a 90 odd door covering. Remote control volume stuck on low. The rooms were very good, they were very large and spacious and very clean with ensuite shower rooms. I found the beds very comfortable. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, suggesting places to eat and tips of how to get to places. The location of the hotel is very good, with it being close to both Bath and Longleat safari park which were the two places we visited. This is our second day. It was unfortunate that our room had been double booked for the first night but the owner found another hotel for that night. It was more expensive but he paid the difference and gave us a voucher to use in their restaurant on the second night. Mistakes can happen and we were impressed by the way it was dealt with and will certainly stay there again.GillianUnited Kingdom
