Thel owner's Chris,Zoe and their staff have kept this hotel very quirky and welcoming,beautiful victorian decor. Really comfortable beds ( best sleep in a long time ) The breakfast is amazing with plenty of choice and very good menu for evening meals. Looking forward to our next visit 😀

The location of the hotel was amazing, we could walk to nearby attractions. Our room was so charming and comfortable. It was a perfect getaway even in winter. Very cozy and warm. Breakfast was delicious and had many options to choose from. The parking was an added bonus. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

Superb Breakfast on the generous side. 10 minute walk to the cable cars at Abraham Heights. Room was first class with plenty of refreshments. Bed was super comfy. Great views of the river. ( We were on the second floor) Ten out of Ten

Hodgkinsons Hotel & Restaurant is set in Matlock Bath, just outside the beautiful Peak District National Park. Featuring a secluded roof garden, this charming property offers individually decorated rooms in a Grade-II-listed building.

The property features lovely greenery, as well its own cave and patio area. Interiors feature wooden beams, original fireplaces and embossed wallpaper. The spacious rooms have elegant design and come with free WiFi, heating and a private bathroom. Some rooms look onto the nearby River Derwent.

The property has a cozy traditional bar, while European cuisine prepared with local produce is served in the restaurant.

The Peak District Mining Museum is set next to the hotel. A stroll along the river will lead to Matlock Bath Railway Station and onto Matlock Village, less than 2 miles away. Chesterfield and Derby can be reached in 30 minutes by car.
