Extremely comfortable memory foam bed. Beautifully decorated. Very spacious and comfortable. Stephanie and Justina were such wonderful hosts. I will definitely make this my go-to home away from home whenever I visit the UK.

Dinner amazing, I order the fish and chip thinking it would be nice and simple but it was extravaganza!!!!! I was offered a mini tasting box which was amazing, even the twist on homemade breads and butter was delicious

Public transport was great.
Public transport was great. Many paved paths 'shared' for walking & cycling. However, unlike the roads there, the paved sidewalks -especially when walking outside of the 'Town Centre,' are often uneven as I found myself being frequently 'tripped-up.' Also, in some areas, the bushes near the sidewalks haven't been 'tended to' by the city and are often encroaching onto the sidewalks -footpaths, which in turn are 'in-your-face!' Basildon and the surrounding area has a lot of traffic and a fair amount of graffiti too, along w/ too much litter around.JohnUnited States of America - 10Scored 10

I attended my brother’s wedding here and the venue was beautifully decorated. The food was delicious. I stayed overnight and the room was clean and the bed super comfortable. All staff were so friendly, helpful and professional. We really couldn't have had a more pleasant experience. Rooms were clean, tidy and very welcoming. Well there was not much I liked the hotel was clean and inviting , We eat at the Toby carvery which was better value for breakfast compared to the hotel prices , We went to see the Quo experience who were preforming there that evening and thought it would be nice to stay , I do feel that it is a lot of money to stay for one night as the room was small and cold ! Parking is a rip off as I didn’t know about that before arriving as I would have gone somewhere else think carefully people if you intend to stay for a few nights as 24hr parking was £12.AllisonUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

The staff were brilliant and our stay was very good in most respects with just two provisos; our room wasn't cleaned and we made our own bed; also I think the language in the bar was foul from 3 customers and loud. I am no prude as I have worked in industrial environments, but I think at best there is a time and a place if one thinks swearing is appropriate. The staff were absolutely outstanding from our most helpful, kind friendly Check in receptionist, 10 out of 10, which then followed on with housekeeper staff, bar staff and breakfast staff. Absolutely outstanding. The grounds and value for money was exceptional.

For me, it made sense as the price was great, and in fact, if I had been staying at the hotel, I was doing a course at it, which would have cost me a load of money, but I paid a fraction of that.
