We didn't stay in the Holiday Inn Express, our booking was moved to the Royal Victoria Crowne Plaza and it was superb especially the staff who were excellent.

Overlooking the River Don, the Holiday Inn Express Sheffield City Center is a 5-minute walk from shops, city tram stops and lively nightlife. It has modern rooms, free Wi-Fi, and a sleek restaurant serving a buffet breakfast. Stylish air-conditioned rooms each feature a flat-screen satellite TV with pay movies, a seating area and free tea/coffee. Every room also has a private bathroom with a hairdryer. Guests are served an Express Start breakfast with hot (croissants, Danish pastries, sausages, baked beans and scrambled eggs) and cold items (yogurts, cereals and fruits) in the restaurant every morning, with evening meals also available. All guests have free use of fitness room and sauna at the adjacent Crowne Plaza Royal Victoria. Complimentary leisure facilities are available at the adjacent sister hotel Crowne Plaza Royal Victoria. Ponds Forge, the closest tram stop to the Meadowhall Shopping Center is a 5-minute walk away. The Crucible and Lyceum Theaters are just over 0.5 miles away from this Holiday Inn Express, as is Sheffield Rail Station.
