St annes is perfect place for family break with the option to travel through to blackpool or the shops and cafes in lytham. St annes is a place my small children love due to the sandy beach and amusement at the pier lots of memories to be made.

Been too Lytham & Lytham St Anne’s x3 now.
Been too Lytham & Lytham St Anne’s x3 now. Hubby absolutely loves it there & the beaches are lovely (though I’m not a lover of sand). There are plenty of restaurants, pubs/bars & shops too suit all pockets & tastes. We’ve walked from Lytham St Anne’s through to St.Annes on Sea (where the Windmill is) & then round to Lytham square where there are lots of places for a drink & meal, after stopping at a local bar with pub grub (The Railway). So yes I’d recommend. Beaches are safe, there’s a small funfair, & plenty of garden’s (e.g. Ashton’s Park) & if it rains there’s a cinema & an indoor pool. So also plenty to keep kids entertained. The bus service is pretty regular although it can be confusing if you are new to the place - we would have gotten bus into Blackpool (if a local hadn’t told us) instead of into Lytham Square where we were going for a meal at the ‘Olive Tree’, 54 is also good as are Allegria (in St Anne’s) & The Anatolia Sky (on sea front). The chippy near the pier is also good (& cheaper than what we pay at home for fish & chips) with big portions.

We walked to Lytham one day and to Blackpool and back the next, even in not so good weather but St Annes is right in the middle of the two. The town itself is lovely and with plenty of charm and plenty of nice pubs etc. We had a lovely fish supper in the "St Annes Fish Restaurant", very reasonable and delicious. As it was off season, not too busy but thats how we like it. A trip to the "Island cinema" was a pleasant change on a dreary day.

There sems to be confusion between Lytham St Annes and Lytham. These are two different locations, Lytham being south of Lytham St Annes. The White House is ideally situated for both locations. Lytham has a charming shopping centre and is particularly good for street cafes.

Lovely modern newly renovated hotel & rooms, right in the heart of Lytham Square with all its restaurants, bars & shops, literally on the doorstep. Room was clean & modern, with a walk in shower, beds were really comfy. There was tea/coffee making facilities along with a super quiet fan and a hanging rail and shelf for your clothes. As the hotel is unmanned we only saw the cleaners the morning we were leaving, everything else was done efficiently via email/phone. Really enjoyed our stay and would return.
Breakfast was great, requested items that were not on the menu and these were provided with a cheerfull demeanour, all staff very acommodating and went out of there way to help you, the room was very clean the towels where changed everyday although we only used once on the first day , they were replaced the day after . The hotel is situated in a great spot right in the centre of Lytham and so handy for all the shops and bars we will definately be staying there again.
Arriving at the property we were blown away . The deco was fantastic better than any 5star hotel . The property was in the heart of lytham with shops restaurants and bars mins walk away . The wines and chocolates and a little welcome card made our stay extra special . There was also water milk and tea coffee and sugar . These little extras were great . We only stayed the one night but really wished we had booked longer . We will be booking again very soon .
We have just returned from our one night stay at Howarth House and we are very happy. Check in was smooth, we were greeted by a very friendly face and we were allocated to room 4. The room was beautifully presented at the front of the property and we had everything we needed included. We had a good sleep, and woke to a delicious full English breakfast. I didn’t want to leave! If we ever return to Lytham I will definitely return to this hotel. Thank you!
I visited for 2 nights with a friend three weeks ago & as a result of that visit decided to come back for 4 nights with my husband.
The breakfast was good quality & there was plenty of choice. On both occasions our room was spacious & clean. The hotel is in a good location, on the seafront & access to the bus stop for Blackpool or Lytham.
The staff were friendly & always happy to help.
We would definitely return.
We have visited the hotel before just when on a day out. We like the location, food and all aspects of the hotel including the swimming pool and restaurant. The staff were really nice and welcoming. The hotel location is excellent right opposite the Lytham St Annes beach, pier and mini golf course and only a 10 minute driver to Blackpool tower.
property was lovely, rooms comfortable but a little small (our fault though as we booked the compact double)
very well maintained and clean throughout.
we went to the Lytham festival and arrived back late but the hotel bar was still open and food was available until late which we thought was great.
We had a very friendly welcome and we were offered a free drink when we arrived. Our room was lovely, large comfortable bed and a great shower in the bathroom. The breakfast was delicious, we were spoilt for choice. The hotel is very close to all amenities in Lytham. We would definitely stay again.
Breakfast was good. Was disappointed about parking at the hotel as very few spaces and all were taken. Had to park in council car park. No facility for 24 he parking. Had to move car before 9am following day. Maximum 2 hr parking on road opposite hotel !
Everything was done in a very professional and friendly manner and the location of the hotel was just perfect. Very clean and comfy rooms and it was dog friendly too. Loved it so much we've already booked it for next time.
Room was clean, all amenities were provided. We had the top floor twin room, booked for Lytham Festival. Short bus ride into Lytham, bus stop at the rear of the hotel. Lovely place to stay.
Really friendly and accommodating staff went out of their way to help
The bed was really comfy
The room was really nice and modern
Hotel in a great location to Lytham St Annes and Lytham
The hotel has been renovated since I was last there and is tastefully decorated and comfortable. The staff are very friendly. The ambiance and food in the restaurant was very good.
All around a very friendly and homely environment. More welcoming and cosy than a chain hotel for sure. Staff were very friendly and accommodating to individual needs.
The breakfast was superb, good selection of hot and cold food. The hotel location is great for a walk on the prom or going to the restaurants and bars at Lytham
