Lovely apartment in old farmhouse and extensive grounds - able to watch the wildlife from the window. I particularly appreciated the welcome hamper of wine, treacle tarts etc.

Whether you are looking for a relaxing few days away to unwind or somewhere to stay for a few weeks to explore the beautiful local countryside or stunning Medieval Cinque Port town of Rye, we are always happy to welcome you. Stay in one of our three cosy apartments in the original Victorian farmhouse and relax in our 15 acres of beautiful grounds and gardens. Humphries Cross is a large Edwardian country house in an idyllic location, surrounded by pretty farmland in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The Victorian portion of the house dates back to the early 1800's and has been transformed into three stylish and tranquil self catering apartments with its own entrance. We offer guests a quiet and secluded setting in the Domesday village of Iden, with its local shop which serves fresh bread and croissants on Sundays, a post office and church and only 2 miles from the centre of the historic Cinque Port Town of Rye with its old cobbled streets, antique shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs, art galleries and Nature Reserve. Just 5 miles away we have the old pretty Ancient Town of Winchelsea and its large shingle beach, Camber Sands with its vast expanse of beautiful sandy beach and breath taking dunes and a littl...
Iden Village - a pretty village mentioned in the doomsday book with a local shop, post office and church, all within walking distance from the property. The centre of the Medieval Cinque Port town of Rye is only 2 miles away with a choice of amazing pubs, independent shops and art galleries. Once surrounded by sea, it is a fortified hilltop town with cobbled streets, the famous Mermaid Street and is well known for its antique shops, tea rooms, restaurants, Rye church, fresh fish caught from the quayside and festivals throughout the year. Nearby, we also have a selection of local vineyards. Chapel Down, Charles Palmer, Tillingham and Gusbourne.
