This charming family-run inn has an attractive and tranquil setting in the midst of the rolling Marlborough Downs, with great access to the region’s major road network. The Well guest house gets its name from the original well set in the restaurant floor. Bulletproof glass has been used to provide a safe cover for the well, allowing you to stand on top and look down the 30-yard shaft of this impressive original feature. Originally established in 1658, this traditional coaching inn is located on the Ridgeway path, Europe’s oldest highway. The inn is just off the A346, only 5 minutes from junction 15 of the M4 motorway. Pre arranged dinner is served at 19.00 as are drinks (soft, beer and wine) A choice of 3 main courses from £18.00. Sweets and desserts will be available at £8.00. Packed lunches are available at £8.00 which can be sorted out when you arrive. All of the comfortable, purpose-built, en suite accommodations is housed in a quiet annex, separate from the main inn. We have 2 double room and 2 twin rooms on the ground floor which are pet friendly. The upstair rooms are pet free.
