Great location. Stayed in room 231....was pretty quiet but I don't think many people were staying on that end of the building.
Built in the late 1800s, The Perle Oban Hotel & Spa is an iconic, historic building on Oban's seafront. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Oban Railway Station and the Cal Mac ferry terminal.

I had an enjoyable stay at Benderloch, while attending a course at Dunbeg. The local beach is perfect for swimming, and there are hairy coos grazing in front of the property. Adorable. Also, in the afternoons someone in the distance plays the bagpipes, just in case you forget you’re in Scotland. There are several good restaurants in the area, but a car is recommended to get around. There is a bus but I think the timetable would be limiting. If I’d had more time I would’ve gone for walks as the area is really beautiful.

Benderloch is a small linear village on the main road.
Benderloch is a small linear village on the main road. An area of flat land to the west of the village has several caravan, camping and motor home sites, B&B and restaurant facilities. It is well equipped for serving tourists needs. A walk up Beinn Lora is a must. The 360 degree views are spectacular. And a reward for the steep climb. Only a short drive to Oban with all the shops, bars, restaurants, transport links, and facilities a tourist needs.

Stunning views everywhere and so many walks and hikes all accessible from the hotel. We also visited Sunderland Grove Forest Walks which was so pretty, super walking routes, especially as we had just had the first snow fall.

Good location with lots to do within a 10 mile radius.
Good location with lots to do within a 10 mile radius. Benderloch is within easy reach of Oban ( where there's loads of ferry options to visit islands, go to Kerrera or Lismore). It was in November we visited so a few tourist things were closed but we had no problem getting seats in restaurants. Worth note is the Pier House hotel in Port Appin, superb food, prepared really well and great service. We were in Bendeloch for four days and didn't run out of things to do, during the summer i guess a week or more would be ideal.

Lovely area and close to Oban.
Lovely area and close to Oban. Would have loved to take the ferry to Mull but time was not on our side and ferry booked up. You really do need to book in advance if you are taking a vehicle on the ferry. Very scenic drives and nice places to stop and have a drink or meal.
Caol Ila was ideal for us. It was in a fabulous location with everything we needed for our break. Ronnie left us milk, orange juice, porridge, shortbread, tea, coffee etc and we were delighted with the fresh bagels too! It had outside seating in the sun! Is a 3 minute walk to Tralee Fish n Chip Shop, 10 minute walk to beautiful Tralee Beach where we swam, 10 minute walk to Hawthorne Restaurant in a wee cottage and 20 minutes walk into Benderloch to the Pink Shop and Ben Lora Cafe which has delicious cakes and coffee!
The location, nestled gently into the hillside near Barcaldine, has splendid views out across Loch Creran to the west with the Isles of Eriska and Lismore in the near distance. The accommodation is bright, modern and spacious with a great attention to detail and comfort for any discerning traveller. Karen was an exceptional and welcoming host and this really is a superb location for exploring what Oban and the surrounding area has to offer. One of the best stays I have had through booking.com.
I enjoyed a quick overnight stay in Karen’s lovely B&B. Everything I needed was provided (i.e., shampoo and hair dryer) or available for purchase (i.e., breakfast.) The location is remote, but the views are stunning. The bed was even more comfortable than mine at home!
Because of a last-minute cancellation, I was fortunate to find a place for the night as all else nearby was booked.
Best dinner I've had in a long time. Hotel felt more like being invited into someone's home as the service was very personal and we always had space to enjoy the lounge and there was lots of space between the dining tables.
The porter was particularly attentive to our bags.
The outdoor games were a hit!
The room was huge with a lovely bathroom. The hotel has some lovely rooms on the ground floor to relax in next to a fire. We had the tasting menu for dinner and every course was delicious. The grounds are amazing and the circular walks down to the waterfront as well worth doing. Breakfast was also very good.
The hotel as a hole was fantastic the staff were amazing, friendly and knowledgeable. The island was fantastic and very interesting. The information the staff knew about the island was excellent. The room we had was beautiful. Will definitely be back. I could not fault it.
Hawthorn cottage is situated in the most spectacular setting at the base of Benderloch mountain. The cottage itself has everything even cleaning materials. We took our own towels and teatowels. June and Willie were so friendly and welcoming. We plan to return.
An absolutely stunning island castle resort complete with a 6 hole golf course and a lovely spa facility. Not to mention one of the better restaurants I’ve been to in Scotland. All set to the tune of white glove service and the sounds of nature.
Walking paths, check in process, Grant touring us around the hotel and helping us with our bags, location, croquet, swing, tasting menu and paired wines on the Deck (Emily was fantastic as were the 2 chefs).
Open plan living space and outside decking is very nice. The rooms are large and comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped. The cottage is within easy reach of 2 beaches, and the village of Benderloch.
