We had such a friendly welcome to a lovely cozy, warm, clean cabin. It seemed everything had been thought of at Iona pods, fridge, microwave, hob, sterile tub for bringing water back to your pod, plenty of plug sockets, adjustable heating, outdoor seating, great clean bathrooms and washing up area. Absolutely fantastic holiday, I’d definitely return and absolutely will be recommending to family and friends.

Pods were fantastic. We stayed in No.10 which faced right towards the hill and had beautiful view. We were able to watch sun set by sitting in. Pods were brilliant with under floor heating. Our 1st time staying in the pod turned out to be great experience. Shared toilets and showers are well maintained. Very neat and clean. A miles walk from the ferry. If you have luggage then I definitely recommend to book the taxi service. Food availability is very limited on the island so better to come with groceries to the pods. Fridge freezer, micro wave,kettle and electric cooker(we didn't use) are great to use in the pod. Very good place to relax and enjoy the nature with scenery and walks of the island. We will definitely return to the island and to the pods.

The pod was warm and cosy (heater with thermostat and double glazed) with everything I needed, including a hot plate for cooking in addition to the microwave, fridge etc. The location is great, overlooking the sound with views to the Coll of Mull and beyond, and only ten minutes from the village.

  • Does the hut have ensuite (private toilet or bath)
    Thanks for your question. The pods are not en-suite. Toilets and showers are in our purpose built wash block which has 2 toilet cubicles and 2 shower cubicles in the female facilities; 1 toilet cubicle, 1 urinal and 2 shower cubicles in the male; and a unisex accessible shower room with 1 shower and 1 toilet.

  • hi, are pets allowed
    We're sorry, but as the pods are situated on a working croft we're not able to accept pets. For dog friendly accommodation on Iona we can recommend Iona Campsite.

  • How easy is it to get from the port to the pods and get about on the island, eg to St Columbas Bay? Can we hire bikes?
    The pods are under a mile from the jetty and most things on Iona are within walking distance. There is a taxi and bike hire available on the island.

  • Are the pods heated and how insulated are they (suitable for a winter stay)?
    Both the pods themselves and the wash block are heated and insulated so are quite cosy even during the winter.
