The breakfast was very expensive so we didn't have it and we didn't have dinner there either.

United KingdomThe facility is an old is an old estate. The rooms have been redone and are very modern. Ours had the benefit of a walk-in shower. The room overlooked the garden and the patio where they would have weddings. The property is attached to a beautiful walking path next to a small stream. The eating area also has a enclosed glass area which overlooks the gardens. The staff for breakfast and high tea were excellent. If you get a chance ask for Linda and Deb (Bev?). Guests can enjoy seasonal cuisine made with fresh, local produce at the hotel’s award-winning restaurant. The restaurant also includes a bright and airy summer terrace.

The hotel is set within the leafy valley and public park of Jesmond Dene, which includes its own petting zoo. Ilford Road Underground Metro Station is less than 10 minutes’ walk away, and offers regular, convenient access to Newcastle’s center.
Our bedrooms are split across three floors in the main house; two floors of which are accessible via a elevator, our third floor bedrooms are within the eves and have stairs access. The West Wing bedrooms are located above The Great Hall and are accessible via stairs. The New House is home to some Deluxe bedrooms and our Junior Suites, with rooms on the Ground floor and first floor which is accessed by stairs.
Couples in particular like the location – they rated it 9.3 for a two-person trip.
