Location perfect for a visit to Bath. Quiet but with everything that you need for a short break

Welcome was incredible. Room - amazing value for money. My only disappointment is that i was staying for work and I would have liked to stay for a holiday and for longer!!

A lovely, spacious room and bathroom, with a comfortable bed and good bed linen. There was a useful, if noisy, little fridge in the room. We had everything we needed, and I would stay again. The pub itself was friendly and pleasant.

Lovely big and comfortable bed. The building oozed history and the room had a lovely feel. The garden was great to eat in on a summers evening. The location made it easy to visit Bradford on Avon and Bath. The breakfast was excellent, with locally sourced sausages, bacon and black pudding.

Lovely pub with great food, and accommodation, we had the Kings room, which has space, plenty of space, a radiator stained carpet, which is a shame, overall it is clean and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom is huge, shower and Bath. Bedroom, large, with sofa, very clean, a little dusty but tea coffee and all you need available. Stairs to our bedroom, outside access.

Beautiful place with a beautiful history. 4 of us stayed in the family sweet and loved it! The owner was very friendly and answered all our questions. Very clean and beautiful location. Parking included. We enjoyed everything about our stay and would come back.

We were upgraded to Kings Suite. HUGE bedroom/living area. Separate lounge with another TV. Large bathroom with claw foot bath. The flooring in the bathroom had sparkly bits in it ! Poppy was very hospitable as was everyone. Checked us in early. Highly recommended.

Very friendly helpful staff (they even let me plug in my electric car with my long extension lead). Very comfortable rooms with separate access. Lovely old building (so creaky).

  • Hi, we have 3 small well behaved dogs. 2 Scottie dogs and a tiny West Highland. Would you accept them all with us for a 3 night stay. Mon to Wednesday. They would sleep in a locked cage that folds up and is used in the car. Thanks
