Eden Cottage is a semi detached self catering bungalow purpose built especially for the disabled guests but equally enjoyable for more people with all abilities. The bungalow sits in one acre of private gardens, edged with pine trees, lawns and bordered by a small stream. Bordering our gardens are meadow sheep farms with enchanting views. The bungalow is an excellent holiday venue for families, couples, pet lovers, bicycle enthusiasts and disabled people. Eden cottage is conveniently located just of Motorway M6 Junction 38 to access both Southern Lakes (Windermere, Rydal, Grasmere, Killington etc.) and Northern Lakes (Ullswater, Thirlmere, Derwent Water, Buttermere etc.). The property is nestled between Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks, surrounded by mesmerizing landscape and walking trails. There is a 24 hours convenience store at walking distance and 24 hours cafe at 5 minutes drive situated within the nationally famous Tebay services farm shop (7am-10:45pm, visited by 4 million visitors annually as shown on Channel 4). We have 24 hours Tesla superchargers/electric car chargers at 1.5 miles from the property. The property is served by 140 feet tarmac driveway
The hosts have been hosting guests for over six years and reside offsite yet around the corner to assist with any query by their guests. Their goal is to provide their guests with a memorable stay at their properties by continually enhancing the property features and offerings. The hosts enjoy hosting guests and enjoy every bit of it. They spend their leisure time reading books, walking on fells, gardening, wild swimming, ice skating and playing Lawn Tennis. The hosts are passionately interested in the tourism and hospitality sector and spend their considerable time on online forums discussing different aspects and trends within the tourism and luxury hospitality sector.
Eden Cottage is only 5 minutes drive to nationally famous Tebay services farm shop (visited by 4 million visitors annually). With the farm shop is the Lake District famous restaurant/kitchen (opens 7am-10:45pm) and cafe (opens 24 hours). The J38 petrol station convenience store (opens 24 hours) is at walking distance from the cottage. At the walking distance from the cottage is a 15th century traditional pub serving great food with a beer garden and HD screens. Free and newly refurbished Lawn Tennis court is just up the road from the cottage at a 5 minutes walk. Howgill Fells walking trails start from around the corner where the Lune cottage is situated. More details can be enquired from the hosts about nearby walking trails/wild swimming spots. There is a golf course in neighboring village served (7 minutes drive by a honesty box placed at the entrance. England's highest open air heated swimming pool at Shap is only 12 minutes drive from the cottage. Please check the opening times for the Shap swimming pool as it opens from May to October in 2022. We have number of supermarkets/restaurants in Kendal, Penrith, Shap and Kirkby Stevens at 15-25 minutes drive from the cottage.
