So convenient to the North terminal where we flew in, all the staff we came into contact with were efficient and friendly. Our room was comfortable and well equipped, giving us a restful sleep before our onward journey . Breakfast the next morning was good also

Very pleasant, comfortable, clean and modern. The staff were professional and friendly. We ate in the bar which provides a few options. We liked the food and thought it reasonably priced. The atmosphere was relaxed. In short, an ideal hotel to stay before flying in or out of Gatwick North - just a few steps away accessed by a tunnel. Breakfast was included. Before 9.00 am it’s ‘continental,’ which applied to us. Plentiful options, cereal, cakes, ham, cheese etc in a calm atmosphere. We would definitely stay here again.

Travelers should be warned there there are steep steps to get to the room (unless you book the downstairs room). This was a huge surprise and problem for us as we had a lot of heavy baggage and it could not be left downstairs.

Horley is a fairly safe town to spend the night before/after a flight. It has nice food shops & cafes. Near to Gatwick but not noisy. Quiet, pleasant. A bus ride to Crawley, an easy train to London. Not overpriced.
Best place is the 8 Bells (or is it 6 Bells?!) down a residential road just off the main road & by the parish church - lovely! - its a delightful oldy-worldy country gastro pub on the doorstep, which is well-known for great food & atmosphere.
People usually find Horley pleasant... you can safely walk around & there is a Lidl & Waitrose within walking distance (in the centre)... The local Wetherspoons does a good cheap breakfast. (Later, the fish & chips/burger are ok, so ok for cheap filling food. Be warned, though, the manager could do with some improvement!)
Horley is great for overnight stays, before moving on!

This is a stupid question, I stayed at the airport, not in Horley town and I only stayed there because I had an early flight. I was not there as a tourist and I doubt anyone would be, as it is an airport town!

This was just a short 24hr transit of international flights, but the hotel location at the airport terminal and access to the train station (to London and elsewhere) could not have been more convenient

Convenient and very near the south terminal.
Convenient and very near the south terminal. Clean and efficient . Breakfast selection good but dining room far too hot ! Quick check-in and no standing on ceremony. Modern rooms - fairly new block of bedrooms.
A quaint building finely refurbrished. Impeccably clean room, tastefully decorated. Very friendly owners and staff. Area is super quiet but a stone's throw from practically everything. Bus-stop to Gatwick Airport a few steps away. Horley Railway Station within easy walking distance. An excellent choice both for travellers from/to Gatwick for an overnight stay but also for people like us that enjoy having Horley as their base for a longer stay. Great value for money. We would definitely stay here again.
I chose this hotel since I landed in Gatwick around 01:30 and planned to leave the area in the morning after, so a hotel in the airport was the most reasonable solution. For some reason I didn't expect a half-capsule hotel - it's not the capsules that remind you a sarcophagus, but it's the type of room that you should move slowly otherwise you bump into something. The room was clean, I liked the purple light and all in all it answered my need and was a good solution.
The host was very helpful and guided me to the hotel even though I had called very late. It’s a lovely place and the walk to Gatwick airport is easily manageable and through a pleasant park. Room was a good size and very comfy with free snacks and drinks rather than the usual expensive mini-bar. Host was there to see me off in the morning with a smile. Will certainly book again if travelling from Gatwick, thanks very much!
Nice room in a big house, comfortable bed and good shower. I booked here because I had an early flight the next morning from Gatwick. Very friendly staff. Walking distance from the Horley train station, which is 2m from Gatwick Airport's train station. Walking distance from a lovely pub with great food: Ye Olde Six Bells. It's on my list as great Horley hotels, now. I'm sure I'll stay again.
Very close to Gatwick airport. TBH no other reason to use this hotel - if you were visiting towns/places in the area I'd suggest there are nicer locations.
I was pleasantly surprised at the range and quality of food and drink in the restaurant - better than normal budget hotel fare. The shuttle bus from the airport terminal is efficient and not too expensive (£7 return, Jan 2023)
So convenient for flights from Gatwick North Terminal. Great bar and communal spaces, fair selection of food from restaurant, which is reasonably priced for an airport hotel, impeccably clean in communal areas, staff are super friendly and helpful, breakfast is AMAZING!! Our go to hotel when flying out of Gatwick.
Close to Gatwick. The shuttle from the hotel to Gatwick was very helpful although there is an additional charge. The breakfast was nice also although there is an additional charge for it. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
Staff were very friendly and helpful! The location was great, very close to Gatwick and an easy walk to the Horley High Street. Our room was clean and quiet! It was nice having the option to eat at the hotel.
It was very close to Gatwick airport. The bus stop was just 2 minutes away. Just 1 stop to the airport.
They had a nice restaurant in the hotel. The food was very good. The waiter very friendly.
The staff or proprietor was extremely helpful, went out of his was to accommodate us and was cheerful and friendly. Location was excellent for access to Gatwick Airport and Horley Station.
Location, location, location. Hotel is in North Terminal of Gatwick Airport, very easy to reach with luggage cart. Hampton Inn has restaurant which is unusual for most Hampton Inns.
The location was good. Easy access to Gatwick airport and an early flight. That was the reason I chose this hotel. It was also cheap compared to other hotels in the area.
Handy location for Gatwick Airport - Walking distance from Horley Train Station, in quiet area close to Town centre. Basic rooms but prices fairly reflect this.
