“We were at a friend’s birthday party so we had only breakfast with you. For this staff were courteous & the continental breakfast had delicious cheeses.”

“The hotel is very nice. It is a bit tight to enter as you are in the way of the waiting staff & standing in the restaurant/ bar area. We were on the top floor although very nice with coffee machine fridge mini bar it is a smaller room. For a night it was ok but we would look to book a larger room next time. This was the only available room left.”

“From the moment we entered we felt so welcome. The staff were friendly and so accommodating. The room was small and the ceiling was sloping to my side of the bed -so quirky! The bathroom was cleverly lit and beautiful. I loved the views of the Angel pub over the way and the pretty rooftops. When we returned from seeing the legendary Steve Harley perform at the local festival it was late but warm and the garden area seemed closed. I was really keen to have a glass of wine out there. No problem. The lights were lit and we sat out there alone. Exquisite! I enjoyed breakfast so much. Next time I come I would make sure we ate our dinner there too.”

“Location in the market square of a stunningly beautiful town with plenty of free parking in the street outside the hotel. Staff fantastically friendly and professional, in fact a real joy. Breakfast, choice of Continental or Full English, was utterly superb with the finest possible ingredients. Croissants, jams etc all made in house. They clearly wish to make one's stay the best possible experience with fantastic attention to detail, with a Nespresso coffee machine in the room (not a great fan of this method, but better than granules!), and a hi fi system that links to your phone/tablet by bluetooth.”
