The location and room were both amazing. Staff couldn’t do enough for you in addition to very clean standards throughout (hand sanitizers and one way systems where possible). Will definitely stay again!

Special thanks to Kate who served us at breakfast - both my daughter and I requested gluten and lactose free options, she was very understanding, attentive, and delivered our orders perfectly. The room was spacious and beds are comfortable. Our room faces the garden which is lovely and tranquil.

KuwaitThe location is great, it's right by the train station but our room was very quiet. Parking is available as well. The hotel is beautiful and the staff is friendly. Love the Elemis products in the bathroom. I disagree with the other reviews on the breakfast. We were seated and served quickly. Overall happy with our stay!
GermanyBreakfast v.good. Bit of a mix up with rooms but shown a good room in the end by very charming staff and given a bottle for confusion. Room could be insulated better as the neighbours movements in the morning quite audible. All in all a great place to stay. Very helpful and friendly staff and top location.

FranceLending a respectable air with it's vintage features such as staircases and chandeliers, the hotel has been updated with a slightly more modern feel that is quite elegant. You will enjoy the covered patio for breakfast and the downstairs lounge.

This five-star property has been newly refurbished and we welcome guests to enjoy our updated rooms. The Principal York has been lovingly refurbished and restored to splendour by interior architects Goddard Littlefair, to create a dramatic sense of arrival to guests at the hotel along with sweeping views through the ground-floor public space into gardens and beyond to York Minster in the background.
