The room is in our home which offers a friendly welcome, a warm comfy double bed, fresh clean linen with feather duvet, two pillows. Clean Towels, Tea+coffee making facilities, fresh milk. Complementary sweets, Mini bar fridge with soft drinks and snacks, for an additional small charge. Tv has free-view, amazon prime, Netflix. Well-appointed en-suite, free parking, a light breakfast of toast, cereal, selection of toast toppings, tea coffee and fresh juices. Full English or continental buffet breakfasts available at an extra charge, 24hr notice required, Use of our outdoor covered hot tub, for a maximum of 45 minutes per day for a small fee per session, available from 1st May- 31st September. IMPORTANT Please note we ask politely that our guests do have plans to go out during the day, we are not a hotel, therefore we only wish to accommodate guests that have come to stay for either work purposes, or other external activities, Please do not book with us, if you intend to remain in the room all day, there is some flexibility, if there are extenuating circumstances, then we will do our best to ensure our guest is comfortable in the room for the duration of the booking. Please note, the dining room is open between 7.30am-9.00am weekdays. and 8.30-9.30am at weekends. There are no cooking facilities for guests, The use of the kitchen is entirely at the hosts discretion, and by prior arrangement. 1 dog is welcome to stay, but they are not permitted to enter the guest bedroom, they must remain downstairs with our dogs, we do charge a small additional fee for dogs, sorry no male dogs that are still in tact. Please call host to discuss.
Phil and I love hosting, we have been doing it now for 4 years, we have met some really lovely interesting guests from all over the world. We enjoy making them feel welcome and at home, as do our two adorable dogs Digby and Ruby. We are a professional couple who pride ourselves on our impeccable service, and providing a warm welcome and comfortable stay. We love our comforts and little luxuries when we go away, so we provide the same for our guests. We enjoy our garden, socialising, making new friends, reading, cooking and we love animals.
The property is situated in a residential road, with a bus service to the station, and town centre, very close by. There are two schools on the road so it can be a little noisy between 8.30-9.00am and 3.30 till 4.00pm weekdays during term time. We are conveniently located close to Luton airport, the M25 and M1 Motorways, the Harry Potter experience at Leavesden. St Albans Verulamium, park and museum, St Albans Cathedral, The town centre is a 40 minute walk or short bus ride away, with its wonderful historic market every Wednesday and Saturday. There are many lovely walks just on our doorstep, Batchwood, plus its Golf course, Gorhamburry estate, Childwickburry estate, Beech bottom Dyke, Knebworth Hall is very close by. There are many wonderful restaurants and traditional pubs in the town with a great friendly atmosphere. Please check our location on google earth before booking so that you are completely happy with it. The Horn pub in town offers live music events, Verulamium park has tennis courts, a lake and a wonderful old pub the old fighting cocks which is reputed to be the oldest pub in the UK, the food is amazing. Westminster lodge is our local indoor swimming pool, we live in a very safe neighbourhood.
