We could not have had nicer hosts, nothing was too much trouble for Helen and we were warmly greeted by John. Lovely working farm dog, too. Nearby are three lovely goats and a couple of sheep. There were a pair of rheas in the field near our front...

Luxury Glamping on a working farm in a picturesque village in South Devon. Elder, Maple and Willow were designed and hand-built by us. They are nestled in a sunny field surrounded by old oak trees, with their own kitchens, ensuite bathrooms and outdoor seating areas, these shepherd's huts are the perfect country retreat. The farm is a stone's throw from the wild beauty of Dartmoor National Park and a short drive from the stunning South Devon Coast and its charming towns and villages. Elder & Maple: Elder and Maple are our two-person huts in our 1-acre field, check out our site map in the photos. Going through the glazed doors, you’ll find the main living space with a comfortable seating area and dining table, a hand-crafted kitchen complete with Belfast sink, undercounter fridge, double induction hob and cooking essentials to make a tasty meal whilst you’re away. There is a fixed double bed in a cosy sleeping area at the end of the hut. Snuggle up in front of the wood burner during the colder months, supplied with plenty of firewood. At the other end of the hut you’ll find your own ensuite bathroom with toilet and shower, heated towel radiator, towels and toiletries. Willow: Willow is a rare 4-person shepherd's hut, ideal for families. In the main living space you’ll find a comfortable seating area and dining table, a hand-crafted kitchen complete with Belfast sink, integrated fridge, double induction hob and cooking essentials to make a tasty meal whilst you’re away. There is a fixed double bed at one end of the hut and bunk beds at the other. Underfloor heating will keep your feet warm during those colder days. You’ll have your own ensuite bathroom with toilet, heated towel radiator, towels and toiletries. There is no shower inside the hut - for showering there is a bathroom shepherd hut adjacent to your hut with a large shower and also an extra toilet in.
The farm is on the edge of a picturesque village in the heart of the Teign Valley in South Devon. We are a stone's throw from the wild beauty of Dartmoor National Park and a short drive from the stunning South Devon Coast and its charming towns and villages. The village of Trusham is just a 5 minute walk from the huts. There is a pub in the village called The Cridford Inn, thought to be one of Britain’s oldest inns, this charming pub serves a range of local beers, gins and superb meals. Haldon Forest Park, set in 3500 acres of woodland, with miles of trails for walkers, runners, cyclists and horse riders is just a 5 minute drive or 20 minute cycle from the farm. There is no shop in the village, however the nearest town with amenities is only a 10 minute drive away. There are a selection of large supermarkets within a 20 minute drive.
