Quaint and cosy self-catering cottage in heart of Betws-y-Coed. Perfect for outdoor lovers, or a peaceful weekend getaway; this nineteenth century miners cottage is located at the foot of the Gwydir Forest Park, with access from the rear garden. Lovingly restored, this cottage has all the modern facilities for a comfortable stay, including double glazing, gas central heating and log burner. The property is equipped and ready for guests to enjoy Snowdonia and the many amazing local attractions. Only weekly bookings taken in peak season with Saturday change over day. Accommodation comprises: Small entrance vestibule for boots & coats - leading to a cosy lounge with two leather Chesterfield sofas, smart tv (connected to the Internet and Netflix) & log burner - kitchen / dining area with all appliances, rear door to garden. Lounge staircase leading to 1st floor - bedroom 1 with double. Bedroom 2 with 2 x single beds - Bathroom - Toilet, sink & electric shower. The cottage has gas central heating, double glazing and a well equipped kitchen with all appliances. Gardens front and rear, with the beautiful Gwydir forest accessed directly from the rear garden. Secure lockable shed for storage of cycles etc. and free Wifi. Bed linen is provided - we DO NOT provide towels, so please remember to bring your own. Built in 1850's the staircase is quite narrow. All in all a very comfortable, cosy & well equipped cottage.
I recently purchased the cottage from my Dad, who had been running it as a holiday let since 2006. I very much feel like I have taken over the family business and endeavour to maintain the highest levels of quality, value for money and customer service. I live and work 18 miles north of Betws-y-Coed, the the Victorian seaside town of Llandudno (it's definitely worth a visit, if you haven't already heard of it). I'm only half an hour away from the property if guests need help or assistance with anything. Thank you for considering Llugwy Cottage an I look forward to hearing from you soon!
Llugwy cottage is only bookable in peak season on a weekly basis with Saturday change over day, is located 200m from the village of Betws-Y-Coed, a quite setting yet a stones throw away from all the great shops, restaurants and pubs. It is set back from the A5 road side and faces the river Llugwy with Clogwyn Cyrau rising in the background and Gwydyr forest stretching for miles behind. The towns of Conwy, LLandudno are nearby and as well as mountains, lakes and waterfalls on your door step not far awaŷ are some beautiful deserted sandy beaches along the north Wales coast. Bethesda is 20 miles away where Zip World contains the longest zip wire in Europe and Mount Snowdon, Wales tallest mountain, is an easy 15 minute drive away.
