The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant was fantastic and the garden setting is lovely. The included breakfast was also great with options if you didn't want a full cooked breakfast. The location is right on the main street so easy to walk to pubs and shops. I would return if I got a room in the main house.

This is a lovely hotel. Room 8 was lovely. The breakfast was outstanding. Great choice and lovely service. The quality of the food was great. We ate in the restaurant and the meal was on par with a Michelin starred restaurant. Brilliant!

The "Cellar Bar" is a real surprise, great decor, choice of drinks and cosy log-burner. Restaurant exceptional too! I booked this Hotel by mistake, incorrect data entered into Booking.com (my mistake), requiring accommodation for a Concert I'd booked for my wife at the I.C.C. in Newport. I'd booked the Friday & Saturday night, but on realising this venue was about 3 hours away, I rang to see if I could cancel the Saturday night, to be able to book something closer to the Concert. Without hesitation Jan was happy to do this, but we're so glad we made the effort to travel the extra distance to enjoy Friday night here (still waiting for Booking.com to refund me the Saturday night though :-( ).

    Dear Jackie, each room has a shower. some are free standing and some are over the bath. rooms 1, 3, 4 and 5 are free standing.
