Beautiful hotel in a medieval building dating back to the 12th century. Original features sympathetically maintained/restored. Rooms had all modern comforts. Very friendly, helpful staff who went out of their way to accommodate our dogs in the bar and restaurant. Close to Hexham and Barnard Castle and Hadrian's wall. Had a delightful trip to the Northumberland coast, with all its attractions, and lovely seafood restaurants. Excellent choice of food and drink. Plenty of places locally for hiking.

Beautiful historic building with lots of open fires. Room was beautiful. Full of loads of little extras such as delicious home made biscuits, fudge, nespresso machine etc. Bed was huge and uber comfy. Pillows were huge! The restaurant was lovely and food exceptional. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

unique, layout, friendly, extra touches (fire pits, boot room, wellies)

fantastic location, we were able to take our dogs who were made very welcome. beautiful medieval building with loads of character and amazing views. The bedroom was so hot we couldn’t sleep., even when we turned radiator off.

staff very friendly. dogs really welcome - lovely welcome pack,

Country comfort in historic village. Friendly staff & good food. Lots of nooks & crannies to eat, drink & relax in. Good walking country.

One of the nicest places we stayed at in the UK. The room was even better than the photos (we stayed in Radcliffe) It was very generous with a huge bathroom, a shower that had great pressure and the bed was very comfortable. The village is picturesque but the Lord Crewe has plenty of character and a very efficient and friendly staff. The food was of great quality. We will definitely be back.

We love it at Lord Crewe, our second trip and it's such a great balance of comfortable and stylish. Great food, comfortable bed and room, dinner in the restaurant was lovely. We had some great walks in the area too and the nearby cafe was lovely for a light lunch.

Beautiful accommodation, lovely peaceful location. Really safe and Covid secure, team working in the hotel and bar were wonderful.

Beautiful location. The staff were so friendly and helpful.
