“We were bowled over by the location - not just the secluded road and long gravel drive, but the gardens, the pond and the very friendly dog were all part of why we loved our stay so much. It's perfectly situated for Winnie the Pooh tourism! A short drive away from Pooh Sticks Bridge as well as Pooh Corner. The host Rose was brilliant - even to the point of posting us a lost toy for our toddler before we even realised we'd left it behind! We really, really highly recommend staying at The Hideaway.”

“The Hideaway is set in a beautiful & peaceful location, far from the road next to the owners house. When we arrived there was no-one home, but the Hideaway was ready with the key in the door as promised. There was a well stocked fridge with items for you to cook your own breakfast, and a bowl of fresh fruit on the table. The accommodation is well furnished, and although the bed, sofa and kitchen area are in one room, it doesn't feel cramped. The shower is to die for - easy to control with a good water flow. Good WiFi, and a TV and well stocked dvd library were a plus. We were left to our own devices, however, we knew that the friendly owners were nearby should we need anything at all. All in all a lovely place to stay - would highly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to return. Thank you for a lovely, relaxing stay.”

They provided an excellent service as well as topping up the fruit bowl with fresh fruit and the fully stocked fridge provided Full English breakfast ingredients daily. The accommodation was very modern and hygienic with fresh towels, bedding and good service provided. There was an additional book that provided locations of local pubs, walks and places to visit that was a great personal touch.”

The breakfast was abundant with eggs, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes. We could not eat it all !! I came with my 2 daughters and we could not fault the Hideway. We will be back.”
