Our Bed and Breakfast is located in the market town of Penistone, which lies next to the Peak District National Park. Our location is ideal if you are attending a local wedding or visiting family or friends. Lavender NDT Students, please call us direct. We have recently completed a full renovation, finished to a high standard. Lyndene is fitted with quality furnishings, and we have retained many Victorian features of the property, which were first installed in 1888. Lyndene has beautifully presented, quiet rooms, each with a private en-suite bathroom. The rooms are fitted with very comfortable twin, double or kingsize beds, with a full size bath and shower. All rooms have free unlimited wifi, freeview TV channels, tea and coffee making facilities, fresh milk and hair dryers. Quality bed linen, a selection of pillows, soft towels and toiletries are provided. We provide secure and dry storage area for your bikes. We take pride in serving great breakfasts, and are flexible to your dietary requirements. Breakfasts are served each morning in our dining room and are included in the price of your stay. We are open for short or long term breaks all year round
As well as running the Bed and Breakfast, Paul is an Artist, an Art Educator and often runs art courses at Lyndene in the studio. Over the years, Paul and Sophie have created a welcoming, family run B&B, where guests can study, relax and enjoy.
Penistone benefits from a wide range of services and activities covering all interests and age groups. The historic market town of Penistone sits on the edge of the Peak District National Park, which is just a five-minute drive away. Cannon Hall Farm and The Yorkshire Sculpture Park, are a short drive from our B&B. There are lots of busses and trains to and from Penistone. Sheffield, York, Manchester and Leeds, are easy day trips (all within 1 hour). Many cyclists stay with us as they cycle the Trans Pennine Trail, which is located only 2 minutes from Lyndene. Parking is at the front of the B&B but off road parking can be arranged by the side of our B&B. We are happy to provide you with lots of information about the area, or leave you to explore and discover, on your own adventure.
