I LOVED staying at Lynford Hall. The staff was so friendly and welcoming to me. As a single person travelling alone it felt like a 2nd home. I enjoyed the trails around the beautiful property and the house has a very interesting history with lots of cool stories. I stayed for 2 weeks and I hope I get to stay here again soon.

Lynford Hall Hotel is a spectacular mansion with a beautiful location in the heart of Thetford Forest in Norfolk, among lakes, parkland and thousands of acres of forest.

The hotel is located in Mundford, about 7 miles from Thetford and the American airbase in Lakenheath. It is easily accessed from the A1065, A134 and A11.

The Jacobean-style Grade II listed mansion was constructed between 1857 and 1862 to replace a former hall built in 1720. Its beautiful landscaped gardens overlook Lynford Lake.

Lynford Hall Hotel is a prime East Anglian wedding and business location. The popular TV series 'Allo,Allo', 'Dads Army' and 'You Rang My Lord' have been filmed here.

  • How much does it cost to bring a dog and which rooms can accommodate them and ourselves?

    Thank you for your question. We have a pet fee of £20 per dog per night, which will be added to the reservation total. Our pet friendly rooms are based in the Courtyard area and are double beds.

  • Are there any rooms for people with poor mobility

    Yes, we have 1 disabled room including its own wet room. We also have many rooms that are on the ground floor for those with limited mobility.

  • is the double room in the courtyard accessable for wheelchair user on the 15th to 18th October (3) nights please

    We wouldn't like to reccomend our courtyard rooms for a wheelchair user, as there is a slight step into the room and the bathrooms are not equiped suitably (there is no walk in shower instead they have a shower over the bath). We do however have an East Wing room which would be suitable, although not for the dates you have requested unfortunately. Please let us know if there are any other dates that we can work?
