Sissinghurst Castle Farmhouse, hotel in Biddenden

Offering garden views, Sissinghurst Castle Farmhouse in Sissinghurst provides accommodations, a garden, a bar, and a shared lounge.

Sissinghurst is lovely, Sissinghurst farmhouse is a beautiful listed farmhouse. The owners are very friendly. On our visit we were welcomed with a lovely room , with tea, & coffee in our room. The bed was very comfortable and the room was beautiful with great views, a lovely classic room. Only downside for us , the pillows were too soft so maybe if you prefer a harder pillow bring your own or maybe ask the owner before you arrive. In our room we had sash windows which are beautiful but we were unable to open and we were quite hot at night. We had tea & a selection of cakes when we arrived which was fantastic and the breakfast was very tasty & a good selection to choose from. We will definitely be back in the spring/summer. The hosts are lovely. We went for dinner in The Malthouse which is in Sissinghurst high Street. Great food. Lovely friendly staff. All in all a beautiful area to visit , well worth a visit or two .

Pretty village with many countryside walks.

Pretty village with many countryside walks. A well stocked post office and convenience store. The pub was shut as it is in the process of changing tenant. Some restaurants are closed, but there are plenty of restaurants, cafes and pubs in the nearby town of Tenterden. Nearest railway station is Headcorn.

The Three Chimneys was just outside the pretty village of Biddenden so we didn't spend much time in Biddenden itself. The nearby vineyard was worth a visit and there are many interesting places within easy reach of Biddenden. We had an enjoyable drink in the quaint Red Lion pub in the village.

We liked the room and the bathroom but not the fact that the latter was separate. The breakfast was one of the finest ever and we travel a lot. I do not want to simply repeat information given elsewhere. So need to focus on getting to Bressendon BB. Recommend not to use the route up through Benenden if travelling from Hastings direction. Instead use the A28 to Tenterden and then let a Sat Nav guide the rest of the route. We followed our Sat Nav along single track lanes and it was fraught with possibilities of meeting oncoming traffic.

The pub was charming and our room was excellent - large and very well appointed, with bi-fold doors opening out on to our own little garden. We had a quick game of boules on the petanque court and enjoyed a delicious evening meal in the restaurant. Breakfast included a bowl of fresh raspberries which was a nice touch. In the morning we had a stroll along the country lane towards Sissinghurst Castle Gardens a mile or so away. The central location was good for visits in all directions. Would recommend nearby Biddenden Vineyard.

Great location. Easy walk to Biddenden village centre. Very near to Vineyard. Great walks. The property was spacious and had an extremely well stocked kitchen. Great private orchard with tennis court and children's play area. Fabulous place for a family with young kids as the boundary was secure, although you'd have to warn about the ponds.
