Situated in the historic town of Gullane, on the southern shore of the Firth of Forth, Maple Cottage B&B offers easy access to the championship Muirfield Links Golf Club, 3 minutes’ drive away. Many other nearby golf clubs can be reached within walking distance from the B&B. Each room at Maple Cottage B&B features an en suite bathroom with a large shower and free toiletries, a wall-mounted flat-screen TV with Freeview channels, and free WiFi. All the rooms are on the ground floor. A Nespresso coffee machine is available to guests to use in the kitchen. A hearty breakfast is also served daily. Located just off the main street, Maple Cottage B&B is just a 5 minutes’ walk from shops, restaurants and amenities. Gym facilities, tennis courts and a bowling green across the street are within 2 minutes’ walk from the property. Edinburgh is 20 miles away and North Berwick is 10 minutes’ drive from the B&B.

A warm welcome awaits you at Maple Cottage. The premises have been fully modernised and the bedrooms are equipped with good quality beds, nice modern bathrooms, Smart TV's, USB points and excellant WiFi throughout. We have a lovely sitting room you are free to use and seating in the garden. We belong to the area so can help with any questions you have regarding golfing, other sports, where to eat or great days out..
Maple Cottage is a family run business and likes to welcome guests from near and far. Our family is scattered around the world and we enjoy sharing travelling experiences. Heather always has the kettle on and a bit of home made baking too.
Gullane is an exceptionally pretty little village with local shops, restaurants and amenities and surrounded in golf courses - now part of Scotland Golf Coast. As you approach from the west you drive past and through the courses of the Gullane Golf Club. Golf has been played here since 1854 and Gullane's courses (No.1, No.2 and No.3) were established in 1884, 1898 and 1910. As if this was not enough, immediately to the south of these courses is Luffness New Golf Club.There are more golf courses to the east of Gullane. By far the best known is Muirfield, whose course is said by those who know to be one of the very best in the world. Muirfield is home to the Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers, the oldest organised golf club in the world. The Open Championship has been held here on sixteen occasions, most recently in 2013. In the last 10 years Archerfield Estate has been significantly developed and the two outstanding courses Fidra and Dirleton have became increasingly popular. Archerfield & Renaissance is situated at the east of the village and is only a short drive or 20 minute walk.
