Loved the location (close to castle and WHR) and friendly staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable, but the muggy weather during our stay made it little difficult to sleep. Would definitely recommend to others.

Delightful! The house has an energy of it`s own, vibrant and purposeful to make you enjoy the stay, feel thrown back in 1960. All the rooms are wonderfully furnished (library, living room, dining room, the bar, etc). The hosts are friendly and very helpful. If you want to have an experience, we recommend staying here: everything is made for comfort. Our room was spacious, there were mirrors everywhere, the vines are hovering over the windows very so discreetly, the bathroom (with a vintage tub) was perfectly sized for a nice bath time!
The Celtic Royal Hotel features a leisure club and free Wi-Fi. The hotel is located in Caernarfon center, just a 10-minute walk from Caernarfon Harbor.

The positioning of the hotel in relation to the centre is ideal. There is also a large car park so parking is free.
The bar served excellent food in the evening.
Within Caernarfon’s ancient medieval town walls, this friendly guest house is within 220 yards of the Castle, the Menai Straits, the Marina and the Galeri Theatre.

Just 2 minutes’ walk from Caernarfon Castle, the elegant Victoria House Room Only Accommodation dates back to the 1890s in the heart of the medieval town of Caernarfon, in North Wales.

Castle interesting and views across to Anglesey beautiful at sunset. Walled town attractive though some of the outer parts a bit run down. Seems a lively place with a buzzing Friday evening social scene. Eating places mostly offering pub grub rather than local produce.(Ok if you like chips)

The cobbled streets bekan horses, the Castle stands strong, proud and has witnessed passing of time.
The Marina changes as many times as the moon rising and the sun setting, mirroring the life of the Castle.
Musicians bloom like flowers. Laughter and cheer brings people together here.

Finding somewhere good to eat was difficult, everything thing was closed, it was like a ghost town. Weatherspoons food was horrendous as was the Black Boy Inn, cheap food for an expensive price, wouldnt venture there in a hurry.

Most of the city is around the castle and is very quiet at night. However, in addition to receiving poor service from the property we stayed at, I also found that it was difficult to book restaurants in advance with several websites not working or containing the wrong information, having to make several phone calls to make a booking and bookings made via web sites were not responded to.
Caernarfon and its castle are beautiful, but their use of technology me think that they are still living in the dark ages.

Very interesting town mixing Welsh and English culture.
Very interesting town mixing Welsh and English culture. The castle is the main highlight, and the narrow streets nearby, remnants of the old town. Lots of good places to eat, both for lighter meals and evening outings. Very busy in the summer with tourists, so September is a good time to visit. Lots of interesting things to do or visit nearby, if you have a car. Snowdonia, lakes and mountains. Railway journeys to other towns for a good day out. Beautiful beaches nearby, and boat trips up the Menai Straits, so there is something to please everyone. Try your hand at speaking Welsh. Most Welsh people will appreciate your trying!
A great find, we booked this the night before we travelled and have been very impressed. The hotel is in a great location for exploaring North Wales. The hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating, we'd like to give a special mention to the assistant manager who was fantastic! He made us feel very welcome and had lots of knowledge of the area. The food is incredible here, definitely not what we were expecting, it made our stay even more special. The rooms were very clean and the bed comfortable.
From the moment I walked in the front door, I was greeted with a smile and warm welcome. This continued within the pool area and the dinning room. I was there to attend a funeral which was also held within the premise, again the staff could not do enough for you. The breakfast was plentiful and hot, coffee and tea was supplied whenever needed. Could not fault a single thing with this hotel and will definitely return. The hotel is easy walking distance for all local amenities and attractions.
The welcome, the decor (fabulous!), the ambience - and the breakfast was superb. There’s plenty of parking and of all the hotels we stayed in, definitely the most comfortable bed. It’s a place you’d stay in for a while (to make the most of the beautiful reception rooms). We walked down into Caernarfon and although it looks daunting with the road fairly close by, you can turn off left on the way and take the scenic route to the castle.
Jan and her staff were delightful to deal with, greeting us enthusiastically and attending to our every need during our stay. The breakfast was the best we experienced anywhere in our two weeks in Wales, and the room was charming and comfortable with every modern convenience we needed. Victoria House was the best place we stayed during our trip, and I would 100% recommend it to anyone visiting Caernarfon or northern Wales generally
The owners were really nice even though we were quite late on arriving on the check in time we communicated, they were understanding and rushed through the hostel from their work briefly and accommodated us. We were also able to leave our luggages before our check in time. The whole place is very, very clean and there's even a free breakfast. The hostel is also near to a lot of shops, station, castle, sights and the sea.
Very clean, modern and spacious new cottage
Superbly equipped with loads of crockery, cooking utensils etc. Fabulous storage in all bedrooms and kitchen, and very comfortable beds
Very lovely quiet rural location and yet well located to explore North Wales and Snowdonia National park
Many lovely walks available within a 20 min drive, and Caernarfon castle and the nearby beach are even closer at 10-15 mins
Lovely, immaculate room, great breakfast, perfect location. Caer Menai is an excellent place to stay, we were there for four days on a wee holiday exploring caernarfon and wider North Wales. Covid measures were very well done by the owner staff. Thanks for a lovely stay.
I love the staff at the Black Boy Inn. I've stayed before and the atmosphere is fantastic! The restaurant is one of the top restaurants in Wales. And the location--you are within the castle walls! The breakfast was delicious!
Great location - the decking outside the cabin had a great view of the Snowdonian hills, and it's a five minute walk down the hill and across the river to the town centre, with stunning views of Caernarfon Castle on the way,
A lovely little town house, well presented and tastefully decorated. Well equipped kitchen had everything we needed (not that we used it much!). Good location with easy walk into town and the castle.
The location of the property is phenomenal as it is nestled against the wall of the Castle. Sadly, the bedroom and Ensuite desperately need to be refurbished. Luckily, we were only staying one night.
Located within the old city walls and two blocks from the castle, the location is extremely convenient. The food in the restaurant on the 1st floor is yummy. The staff are amazing!
The location was perfect in the middle of the castle town. The room and bathroom were very clean and felt newly renovated. Also, Neil was very welcoming.
