Martyn and Jane warmly welcome you to their family Guest House. We are located within easy walking distance to the town centre, pier, theatres and key attractions. We are right on the prom and a number of our rooms and the outside terrace enjoy fabulous sea views, The Marine View Guest House has a warm and friendly atmosphere and is family run with a small and proactive team, All of our rooms are of a high standard, clean and comfortable with fresh linen and soft towels, tea and coffee making facilities. Our two largest rooms and a single single room have spectacular sea views whilst the other rooms look out over neighbouring gardens, the Admiralty cottages, the coast guard's house and downs in the distance. Prices vary according to room size and number of people staying, with the sea view rooms as our premium rooms and our cosy 'small double' is ideal for weekend breaks or single occupancy for longer stays when budget iskkey. All rooms are en-suite and rooms are serviced each day at guest's request. Breakfast is included in all bookings. We offer a fulsome cooked English breakfast alongside fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, toast etc. served daily from 8am to 9.30am. Dietary requirements can be met or guest are welcome to bring their own preferences which we are happy to prepare for you.
Jane and Martyn have been running Marine View Guest House for seven years. Having both been art teachers for most of their careers, they were attracted to the area for its artistic culture, and also to be by the sea. They enjoy kayaking, swimming and fishing in the local area, as well as walking in the South Downs and other hiking routes nearby.
Worthing is an up and coming town with many great restaurants, cafes and bars and lots going on within its theatres, cinemas and performance venues . The beach opposite our property provides prime swimming conditions throughout the year, whilst also being a hotspot for kitesurfing, windsurfing, stand up paddling, and kayaking. It is a pebble beach with sandy areas; great for walking for miles, rock pooling, paddling or swimming at high tide. The pier is just 5 minutes away, and features the newly renovated 'The Perch on the Pier' Art Deco restaurant. The pier also offers entertainment and great fishing spots and unique views of the sea and coastline. Opposite the pier is the historically fascinating Dome Cinema, and the main shopping streets. As well as popular chain stores, there are many family run cafes and restaurants offering a wide range of food from affordable cafes to Kenny Tutt's 'Pitch' resturant amongst other top class offerrs. Further out of town, the South Downs are easily accessible, with the neolithic Cissbury Ring being a particular highlight. Brighton is 20 minutes away by train, and London just 1 hour. All in all, Worthing provides the perfect place for a seaside break, watersports holiday, countryside escape, or city exploring.
