“Large comfortable bed in spacious room. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff who treated me like family. This was a room above a country pub with a good selection of real ales plus an excellent restaurant. Full English Breakfast included in the price. Evening meals extra but good food well cooked for a reasonable price. Locals eat there which is always a good sign. Avoid the haddock & chips if you aren’t really hungry - the fish portion is enormous, but perfectly cooked in crisp light batter.”
