“The king size bed was very comfortable. The room had tea/coffee making facilities with good quality biscuits and filtered water was provided. There was a good range of glasses and cups in the room. We liked the slices of excellent home-made cake waiting for our arrival in our room, very gratefully received after almost 3 hours on the road. There was a good supply of toiletries. The breakfasts were very good; the menu was extensive with something for everyone. The staff at breakfast were friendly and happy to accommodate anyone who wanted a slight tweak to what was on the menu. There is a key safe by the front door so access on arrival is quick and easy.”

“Breakfast was great. Dan keeps the rooms clean and relaxing. Just very minor issues. The water kettle had film and flaking in the bottom The toilet ran for abit but did stop. There is a little dip in the floor. Room only has plug in radiator heat so it was cold coming in and bathroom was cold. All in all it was wonderfully relaxing.”

“Lovely breakfast each morning. Earlier breakfast requested on the first morning, conveniently provided by the host who allowed us to eat early before we headed out for our early start that day. Lovely slices of home made cake left in our room on check in. Lovely location, nice and peaceful and in the middle of nowhere, just what we wanted. Lovely property with everything you would need. Even down to the small flasks of fresh milk left in a fridge on the landing to make tea/coffee with etc. Keys accessible via key safe on arrival. Very clean and tidy accommodation. Room had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Staff very friendly and informative of local amenities. Nothing too much trouble. Very pleasant stay and we will be sure to return again one day.”

Lots of lovely touches in terms of decor, drinks and snacks available to buy in the shared lounge, cakes on arrival and biscuits/filtered water/tea coffee in room replenished daily. Proper toiletries in en-suite not silly sachets. Comfortable bed.”
