This is a gem of a place in a quiet area, 15-20 minutes train journey from Victoria. The rooms are pleasant and a good size, with a secure entrance and a beautiful garden area in which you are welcome to sit. My mum and I felt very safe here and well looked-after, we look forward to staying again. The four-poster suite I stayed in on the second night was gorgeous!

United States of AmericaThe room ,staff, bed, breakfast overall this is a home from home. This is a family run business and everyone of them have a beautiful personality warm and kind. Wendy took time out to have a good chat with me and my son the day we checked in, he didn't want to leave. I will book this place as often as I can. BTW it's a nice quiet road with free parking.

The housekeeping was great. The instructions in the room on how to navigate London was helpful. The free WiFi was a lifesaver. I will go back there when next I am in London.

United States of AmericaI was located in the Annex which was a separate bungalow style section at the rear of the property - excellent for those with large suitcases as there weren't any steps. Good sized shower room separate from the toilet. Central heating excellent. Bed comfy. Plenty of plug sockets! Wifi excellent.

I love London and the history of the city, going to the theatre and reading about the city.
Property info
Melrose House is friendly and cosy with a feeling of the 19th century but with modern facilities. It is run by our family and our motto is " there are no strangers here only friends we have not met."
Neighborhood info
We are in a quiet part of London, very pretty with plenty of trees in our surrounding roads. We have several parks the most famous being the Crystal Palace Park where a huge palace of glass was built in 1981 with a dinosaur park surrounding it in the lakes and gardens. Sadly the palace was destroyed by fire but the park is still lovely.
