The Way family have been running hotels and self catering properties for more than 20 years. They currently have 3 properties in Dartmouth. Dartmouth has something for everyone, whether you are looking for a relaxing break or to explore historical sites or have adventures at the beach or on the water - it's all here. Along with great places to eat and drink. Dartmouth also has many festival and events throughout the year including the very popular Dart Music Festival in May, Dartmouth Regatta in August and Dartmouth Food Festival in October.

Property info

This is a second-floor apartment in a beautiful Grade 1 listed building. It is accessible via two flights of steep stairs so may not be suitable for guest with mobility issues or very young children. Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement (max 2) for an additional charge of £20 per dog, per night. It has an modern kitchen with dining area and a characterful living room with a period fireplace, wood panelling and original 17th Century mullioned windows. It has been comfortably furnished with two sofas, a coffee table and a 30” flatscreen TV with Freeview and a DVD player. For additional guests there is a sofa bed, please contact us directly if you would like to use this facility. Merchant’s Rise has two bedrooms. The first is a master bedroom located on the top floor, it is furnished with a king-sized bed. It also has a comfortable lounge area with two easy chairs and a flatscreen TV with Freeview. The master bedroom’s en-suite bathroom has a walk-in shower, bath and WC. Second ensuite Bedroom: The second bedroom, a cabin room, is furnished with a 4ft double bed and a 2ft 6 single bed on top and an ensuite shower room with WC and basin. Dartmouth is renowned as a quaint town on the River Dart with a strong naval background. It has charming cobbled streets, stylish independent shops, many galleries and restaurants, and has become a destination for quality seafood. When staying at Merchant’s Rise one can easily explore the picturesque South Devon coastline and visit the beaches of Blackpool Sands and Bigbury on Sea, and visit historic attractions such as Dartmouth Castle, Greenway and COleton Fishacre.
