Absolutely perfect. I loved walkies with my dog early in the morning watching the sun come up. Breakfast in the library with that amazing view was a privilege.

United KingdomThe decor was really on keeping with the age of the hotel, gave it a grand feeling, the welcoming open fire in reception area was so lovely, the staff were exceptional and very friendly, the food was lovely too, we were given an upgrade to a lake view room on arrival and a card was left in our room. They were on the ball with all the covid restrictions and had everything well in place for social distancing, will definitely book again.
United KingdomIt was a beautiful historic house set on impressive grounds overlooking Lake Windermere. Our room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. We lucked out with a view looking out towards the lake. Waking up to that view was breathtaking! Dinner at the Arborreal was exceptional and though breakfast was a bit pricey, it was quite delicious.
United KingdomBeautiful former Georgian Manor House. Lovely hotel, great location, wonderful staff and excellent food. Also extremely dog friendly. We took our 5 month Lab for her first trip away and we couldn’t have asked for a nicer place to start. When we arrived, there was a large dog bowl with several bonio biscuits and even a few bags in case we’d forgotten them. Hotel was very clean, all the serving staff wore masks the whole time and there was plenty of hand sanitizer available. We felt very safe and not at all concerned for our health at any point. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a break in this beautiful place and especially those wanting to take their dog.
