However, the section that serves as the accommodations and room where breakfast is served has been extensively renovated and done so thoughtfully in consideration of the historic nature of this outstanding structure. The room was very comfortable and tastefully appointed. Certainly one of the better bathrooms I've experienced in the United kingdom.

The property is very conveniently located if you're looking to visit the Cotswold villages - it took us 7 mins to reach Bourton on the Water by car and the other villages are close by also. The property is located next to farmlands and I enjoyed taking an early morning stroll around the property. We were quite satisfied with the service - any requests we had were promptly met. Mr and Mrs T are gracious hosts and we really enjoyed our stay at the Merrymouth Inn.

Set in the rolling hills of the Cotswolds, this 13th-century, stone-walled room only is 4 miles from Burford Priory, 5 miles from Shipton railway station and 7 miles from the Cotswold Wildlife Park. Located in converted stables, the 9 laid-back rooms feature period details and have en suite bathrooms, flat-screen TVs, and tea and coffee making facilities. Room only - No Resturant and Bar available. Complimentary amenities include parking, Free Wi-Fi. There's a garden with patio tables. Dogs are allowed for a surcharge in certain deluxe double rooms only. The house is set in beautiful rolling countryside and is an ideal center from which to explore the Cotswolds, whether by car, bicycle or on foot. The Merrymouth has a long history dating back to the 13th century. Apparently, there still exist underground passages from the Inn's cellar to the Abbey. But these have yet to be discovered. The Inn took its name from the Murimuth family who acquired the village of Fifield six centuries ago. At this time, even the village became known as 'Fifield of Murimuth'.
