Depending what type of a holiday you want this location is quiet and relaxing but there are lots of pleasant walks in country and Sandsend seashore. If you have transport nearby Whitby and surrounding area has some great places to visit. Me my wife and dogs opted for a chill out holiday with some nice local walks and plenty of relaxing in garden areas. We used local eateries and nearby Raithwaite hotel is a lovely place with outstanding gardens, totally enjoyable holiday.

Lovely picturesque coastal village, nice beaches , just went for a stroll, walked past these lovely cottages next to river, loads of ducks and their babies. Would love to go back and maybe stay in cottage there.

    Plenty of parking for visitors.

Plenty of parking for visitors. Great pub food at The Hart in with friendly service. Not many shops if you like a good browse you have to go to Whitby for this. We visited Whitby Abbey by car. There is a park and ride at the abbey which is convenient in high season as parking in town is difficult.
