We moved to the Lake district in 2015 from South Wales, we both fell in love with this beautiful area. Bowness it is a wonderful village to liv in and the people are so friendly. . We are both very passionate about our rugby but that is no surprise as we are both Welsh. On match days please be aware you may hear a few shouts from our lounge. We are here to make your stay as comfortable and pleasurable as we possibly can. feel free to ask about the area. places to visit, restaurants etc. We have been renovating our rooms over the years we have been here , and now hope you will find them comfortable for your stay with us. We are very fortunate to have a wonderful repeat custom base and many of our guests have become good friends.

New Hall Bank is an elevated Victorian property in the very heart of the village of Bowness on Windermere, close to all pubs, restaurants and shops and of course Lake. We are a family run business. we are never far away should you need us. We are very lucky due to the position of our house, some of our rooms have excellent lake views, but not all, so please check at the time of booking. We only have two ground floor rooms. so please check if you have mobility issues. We are very fortunate to have an onsite car park a luxury in this area, there is allocation for one car park space per room. We can not accommodate hen or stag parties, all male /female groups ,or any form of party. We can not accommodate children under the age of 8 years. Please fee free to message about room information. Damages to our rooms, towels or bed linen etc, will be charged to the guest at the local rate for cleaning or replacement, etc with the card details provided at the time of booking. We do not allow Hot food, Pizza, curry ,or any other form of takeaways in any of our guest rooms. There are plenty of eateries within easy waking distance of the property to suit all budgets. if evidence of food is found (a cost will be added to the card provided at the time of booking)

Neighborhood info

Bowness on Windermere is a very popular village. our location is with easy walking distance for local shops and restaurants with the first public house approximately 38 meters from the door.(the hole int' Wall ) the oldest pub in the area. We have some amazing places to eat and drink here in the village you will be spoilt for choice, to numerous to mention individually. Please feel free to ask us for recommendations. The area is surrounded by breath-taking scenery, beautiful walk for all abilities, so what ever you decide to do I'm sure you will enjoy your stay in this amazing area.

House Rules

1. Children cannot be accommodated in any room apart from the Family Room (and must be

between 8 and 12 years old). Children 16 and over are classed as adult at this property. children

must be accompanied by 1or 2 adults .

2. The minimum age for reservations at this property is 18 years

3. This property does not allow any hot food, fish and chips, pizza, curry etc ,in any of the rooms

rooms or guest lounge.

4. Smoking is not allowed at this property. If found to be smoking in any area of the property. You

will be asked to leave immediately and charged the full rate for your stay with an additional

cleaning charge for your room at local rate.

5, Make up and fake tan damage to towels and linen will be charged at the cost of the replacement

of the item. We provide darker facecloths for the removal of make up, for this very reason.

6. We do not allow fridges in rooms. If fridges are brought with you ,they will be charged an

additional charge for the extra use for the electric per day. (Please check prior to arrival. )

7. We kindly ask that you keep noise to a minimum, and respect other guests . If this is not adhered

to you will be asked to leave immediately and charged the full amount of your stay.

8. Damage to our rooms, or furnishings, breakages, etc will be charged at the going rate for

replacement of the item or cleaning eg, carpet , bedlinen, curtains, etc.

9. We do not take Dogs at this property.

10. We do not take last minute bookings. (Bookings made on the day of arrival)

11. We do not take Hen/stag parties or al male or all female groups. or any parties.

12. Lost keys will be charged at £40.00
