We love the Pheasant! set in lovely countryside - we felt really at home, Diana and her staff looked after our every request - the breakfast was delicious and served with care and attention. This is a very special place that has the feeling of a being welcomed as family - no surprise that we will be visiting again soon.

You need to travel to near villages. Clare, little Melton.all beautiful and not far from one to another.we even went to Ipswich with has a beautiful marina and lovely restraints and bars.worth a visit.nothing much to see in great yeldham but good for a wander round the village
Most staff were really friendly. Location is fantastic as we were going to the English Spirit Distillery for a tasting and didn’t want to drive. The food was fantastic and the menu looked incredible! I loved the history of the hotel, the decor. The drinks selection at the bar and the wine list was superb! Especially loved the desert wine selection, yum!
Nice hotel with a good restaurant. Main building has oak beams and bags of character. The food was really good - breakfasts were excellent. No menu restrictions or supplements for my dinner, bed & breakfast package, which was great value. The bed was very comfortable, Staff were lovely, and really helpful. Warm room.
The Hotel, Lounge/Bar and Restaurant were excellent, beyond 5 star. The local beer and wine most enjoyable. We tend to eat-out once often twice a week. We cannot recall having 3 courses each of which were marvelous (usually 1 is good, sometimes 2 but to get 3 out of 3 is close to being unheard of).
Nothing to dislike! From the minute I walked in I knew my stay was going to be exceptional! The staff, facilities and food 1st class. Staying away usually twice a week I use Hotels a lot. This is definitely the best stay I had for a long time. Well worth going out of your way to stay here folks!
Our room was large and surprisingly modern. It had all the facilities you would expect in a hotel at a much higher price point. Super king bed, nespresso, wet room and all finished to a high standard. Would definitely stay again if I was in the area.
A 500 year-old timber-frame house converted to a hotel without losing any of its character; it's wonderful. All the facilities, the restaurant, the staff, etc were all excellent. A really enjoyable stay.
A lovely cosy small hotel in Great Yeldham. Loved the decor and neatness of the room. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast also served with style. Will definitely be back.
