Breakfast was wonderful. Plenty of variety, piping hot and constantly replenished. Would have liked/preferred more variety at the evening meal. Only 1 spicy vegetarian dish which wasn't suitable, and the menu didn't change the following evening. Also it wasn't a child friendly menu.

Fantastic location, close to the Abbey Inn, Buckfastleigh, the train to Totnes, and many options for walking the high moors or staying more local and swimming the Dart or walking Hembury, etc. hotel is very first class, clean, professionally run. I didn’t even realize it was attached to the Abbey until the second day. Restaurant breakfast was good, I didn’t eat dinner there. Staff was cheerful, polite, and helpful. Excellent option for a variety of trips to south Dartmoor!

When booking, I did not realise the hotel was linked to Buckfast Abbey but it was in a beautiful location, had friendly, helpful staff and was a comfortable nights stay.The room was a very good soze with all the things we needed. We used the bar which was relaxed and offered good value for money. We did not stay for breakfast, instead we opted to visit Buckfastleigh.

    Hello, We have a selection of options for our breakfasts. Including - bread (GF available) ,sausages (V option available) , bacon, mushrooms, hasbrowns, Eggs and tomatoes. We also have a selection of cereals, fruit, yoghurts and pastries.

  • Is it reachable by public transport

    We are on a bus route. The bus is farily frequent, once an hour. We are 15 miuntes away form Totnes Train Staion and 25 minutes away from Newton Abbot Train Station. Hope this helps
