A warm welcome on arrival from owner Andrew, who then maintained a discrete yet thorough attention to every detail for the remainder of our all-too-short overnight stay (we were attending a wedding at a nearby hotel) A roaring open fire in the lounge, spotlessly clean and cosy room, bespoke breakfast - wonderful!

And the sign announcing Norton Grounds is tiny, and easily missed. The breakfast was absolutely great, beautifully-presented, beautifully-cooked, and so much choice. I just wish I could have done it justice. The room was lovely, and the bathroom wonderfully-appointed (though the toiletries were poised far too high in the shower. I as a 6-footer had difficulty reaching them, and my partner enjoyed a luxurious bath instead. Andrew, the host, was most welcoming, and always concerned about his guests' comfort. If ever we're in the area again, we will return!
