This much-loved country home is just off a green and leafy country road. A quiet and peaceful setting with beautiful grounds to explore or to sit in. The hosts were welcoming, attentive and considerate. Our room enjoyed views to the Mournes and the garden. Delicious breakfast in the dining room with a wood fire in the hearth.

I liked the way the hosts greeted me on arrival even though I was late,they where very understanding,and very helpful the next morning the breakfast was exceptional,as was the service then I went out too the gardens,they are very well maintained,and beautifully kept.the property is 200 years old so had a lot off history.richard,and Caroline where both very nice and very helpful,the whole trip even for one nite was worth the money.i even visited the butterfly 🦋 house that in itself is an amazing experience the owner was not only very nice but very helpful so the nutgrove house has too be a must on anyone's list,it's a very quiet and relaxing stay it's gd for a family with kids or just for a romantic nite away.

Breakfast was just fantastic! The hosts did a great job of balancing being attentive and leaving you to enjoy your time. Two lovely dogs and Gatsby brought us for a walk to the lake for a swim. Fabulous decor and lovely grounds.

A country house dating back to the 1830s, Nutgrove House offers elegant rooms with attached bathroom around 7 miles from Downpatrick. With its own tennis court and attractive gardens, Nutgrove House provides free parking and Wi-Fi.

Each room has private bathrooms with bath and shower, hairdryer and complimentary toiletries. There is a flat-screen TV, trouser press, wardrobe and tea and coffee facilities in all rooms.

Full Irish breakfast is served in the dining room, along with cereals, porridge, muesli and fresh fruit. Locally sourced produce is used to prepare breakfast at Nutgrove House.

The large gardens include a croquet lawn and tennis court, and enjoy fine views of the Morne Mountains.

    Good morning Clifford, thanks for your enquiry, yes we do have sockets available outside but they are normal 3pin 13amp sockets not special ev ones but they have been used successfully by guests. Caroline

    The party room is an outside room in the yard which we use during the summer and some of the guests use it in the evening .It has table chairs fireplace rugs etc .

  • Hi is there a toilet in the Shepard’s hut or do you have to go outside?
    The hut is fully en-suite with a loo and lovely small but excellent shower . I think all this info is on the web site .
