The environment was a true escape from the hustle and bustle. breakfast was genuinely nice. it was a little hard to find but took the NO’3 bus got off at the flyover and walked back turning left and up a short pathway - there it was - Aldolic litter farmhouse and woods. the walk to the city was worth while from there too.

  • Is it within walking distance of main centre and xmas market?

    We are just 2.5 miles from the city centre but we also would highly recommend the park and ride which is only £3:50 to park all day.

  • 4 of us are coming down to Dover for work reasons for 3 days 2 nights, are we able to have an evening meal or if not is there facilities to heat food

    There is a microwave in the dining area you can use. Also I more than happy for you to have take out deliveries. Domino's Pizza deliver and most others are available too.

    No we are bed & breakfast only at the moment however you are welcome to have a delivery or take out at the property. Domino's and other restaurants deliver to Oakside Lodge.

  • Would you have somewhere to store two road bikes over night?

    There are obviously lots of trees to chain your bikes too and I can put them in my garage if you really want me to.

  • Is there dinner available, or facilities to cook your own dinner?

    No we are B&B only but you are welcome to order a delivery of take-a-ways or use the local Gastro Pub, The Old Coach & Horses otherwise there are all the usual restaurants in Canterbury for an evening out.

  • Hi do u have baths

    Yes, 3 out of the 5 rooms have baths with shower attached. The Deluxe Double room doesn't but has a lovely walk in shower and so does one of the double rooms too.

  • hi, is it possible to book in earlier? we are going to a 100th birthday tea that starts at 2pm

    Check-in is at 3pm but you can arrive earlier, collect keys and even use the room, I just can't guarantee your room will have been cleaned until 3pm. Kind regards Stuart

Oakside Lodge is a converted barn into a purpose built guest house accommodation along side its own private extensive oak woodland where they have developed a pig farm providing them with the pleasure of keeping pigs in their natural environment and also giving fantastic tasting meat (sausages and bacon). We have no minimum stay so whether you are booking an overnight stay or a longer holiday break, you are always welcome at Oakside Lodge.

Stuart enjoys running the guest house and meeting people from all different places. Georgiana runs a cleaning company servicing many hotels and knows what it takes to provide outstanding cleanliness along with service. We obviously have daily housekeeping included in the room rate, of exceptional standards. Both Stuart and Georgiana welcome guests to enjoy their bed and breakfast in their beautiful rural settings and pride themselves on their warm, friendly hospitality with onsite daily staff to assist.

Stuart and Georgiana have lived in Upper Harbledown for over ten years and have enjoyed their rural setting although only being less than three miles from Canterbury City Centre. The local Gastro pub/restaurant "The Old Coach and Horses" serves fantastic fresh locally sourced food and is always popular with visitors and locals alike.
