The location was great, set in the woods. It was very easy to take the dogs out in the morning. The property was very clean and well stocked with all the pots, pans, cutlery etc. you could need. Laurie's communication was excellent and the box of shortbread was much appreciated. Free Wi-Fi and a information booklet on the local area.

the property was very clean and had everything we needed like cooking utensils, cleaning brushes and mops, towels for each residents, clean cupboards and clean beds. The toilets and standing shower was so clean. As we entered the property it felt like home, so comfortable and clean. It had everything that we need for our stay. The owner Laurie is an amazing lady and she was just a message away. She was always communicating with us through WhatsApp if we had any questions or needed any help. There is beach called Carbis bay just 9mins drive from the property. There is Tesco just 10mins drive from the property for groceries and other essentials. Overall, we had an amazing holiday and would like to go again in summer holidays.

I liked pretty much everything. Right from day one since booking has been plain sailing. The host, Laurie was very quick to respond to all messages. There was a great shop site that had everything we needed, we didn't get to use the pool, restaurant or takeaway due to only being here for 2 nights but we will definitely be back. The cottage was clean and cosy.

***The cottage was lovely and cosy, me and my partner went for a few days with our young pup. lovely woodland walks, nice restaurants near by that are dog friendly. 10 minute drive to ST ives. location is great to near by places. Hayle beach is great for dogs. Lovely beach bar lula. Laurie has been a great welcoming host, gave me clear instructions on how to get to the cottage. very quick at replying back to messages would HIGHLY recommend this cottage. Tesco and Asda store near by.

We fell in love with the location and cosy feel of Ocean Cottage immediately. Situated in one of the most sought after areas of Cornwall, and only a 5 minute drive to Carbis Bay Beach, Ocean Cottage is perfectly positioned. It's also a stones throw (7 minutes) from the famous and artistic town of St Ives, where you can explore the Tate Gallery, enjoy wonderful restaurants, and if you fancy your hand at surfing you can find some of the best waves in Cornwall. Ocean Cottage has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and an open plan kitchen/living area. The cottage is located in 100 acres of beautiful woodland and has an incredibly peaceful feel to it. We have dedicated free car parking directly beside the cottage, which gives you total freedom to explore everything that Cornwall has to offer. Whilst the cottage is small, it has a kitchen that comes fully equipped with a cooker, hob, microwave, toaster and fridge. We also supply bed linen, towels, washing up liquid and tea towels. Everything you need for a self catering holiday. The cottage is one of a collection. It's very peaceful and surrounded by what nature has to offer.
I've worked as an interior designer for most of my career, and I wanted to bring the essence of St Ives to Ocean Cottage. I'm a keen surfer and absolutely love Cornwall, especially St Ives and the surrounding area.
There are some fantastic places to eat locally, but my personal favourite is Porthminster Kitchen in St Ives. They tend to get pretty busy, so I would definitely advise booking. Another fun restaurant is La Casita (a Tapas restaurant) in Carbis Bay, and only a 5 minute drive from the cottage. For one of the greatest pubs locally, I'd check out The Tinners Arms in Zennor (15 minute drive). It’s steeped in history and dates back to 1271. Lovely beer garden, sea views and some fantastic walks in the surrounding area. If you fancy your hand at surfing, we recommend using St Ives Surf School. on Porthmeor Beach They have also agreed a 10% discount to all guests of Ocean Cottage. Win!
